Visiting kid installed a password! Cant get into windows XP. What to do?

A visiting teen installed a password on our desktop PC. She left the area (doesn't "remember" doing it). Now we cannot open the Windows XP, to get to the desktop. It asks for a password, with the hint "Firework". Any suggestions? We bought a CD on ebay-it didn't come with instructions. Now, shall I buy a new hard drive, or PC?

If you boot into safe mode you can get in threw the admin account. Doing this will let you change or remove the password to the account you are trying to get into.

Im talking about when you boot into safe mode. When you do that it should show a seperate account called admin account click that go into settings and remove the password to the other name. Is there a admin account when you go into safe mode?

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

SOURCE: Can't install WINDOWS.

WindowsXP does not natively support SATA drives. The install disc doesn't contain any SATA drivers for these devices. You can retrieve the correct driver HERE, and slipstream the driver into your windows disc. For slipstreaming tutorials and software, go HERE.

Check the privacy settings in the internet options. If it i a security issue, you will be able to disable that feature ( which is predefined by default to be medium; Semi-restricted access to programs (instillation/removing) and internet access to certain content depending on the specific website you are visiting.

Sometimes it is the operating system you are using.1. Certain programs for Apple, or Mac, are not compatible with Microsoft, or Windows. 2. The minimal requirements to run the programs are available. <== This could be the case if you are running Windows XP/Vista, and are trying to install a program where Windows 7 is what it was designed for.

Either scenario could be the case. Maybe you just do not have enough RAM to run the program. Maybe, and only if the system si not yours, you need an Administrator's password to install.

Hope that helped.

Not download xp

Step 1:
SP3 is the third and final service pack released for Microsoft Windows XP, and it eliminates many of the security holes that previously affected XP. While Microsoft recommends that users download SP3 using Windows Update, some users are unable to do so. However, it's easy to create a Windows XP SP3 installation CD; it requires only that you download the pack from the website and burn it to a CD-R/DVD-R using an ISO burner program.
Download the SP3 installation ISO by visiting the first link listed in the "Resources" section of this article. Save it to your Desktop. Download ImgBurn and save it to your Desktop. Double-click the installation executable for ImgBurn and click "Next." Follow the remaining onscreen prompts and click "Finish" to complete installation of ImgBurn. Insert a blank CD-R/DVD-R into your DVD drive. Open ImgBurn by going to "Start," "Programs" and "ImgBurn." Click "File," then "Browse for a source file." Navigate to your Desktop and select the SP3 ISO file. Click "Open." Click the blue "ISO to CD" button located on the bottom left of ImgBurn. The program will begin creating the Windows XP SP3 installation CD. This process may take anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes to complete depending on the speed at which the CD-R/DVD-R is being burned. Click "OK" once the CD-R/DVD-R has finished burning. You've successfully created a Windows XP SP3 installation CD.
