Put everything that you are trying to print.
If you have another black ink cartridge then put that in the color slot.

Some printer brands have a cute scheme that reads a "new" cartridge as good, but the refilled one has a small fuse link that is burned out by the printer. Try factory new cartridges. Unplug the printer power for a bit to reset the printer.
