After accidently shutting off power to my Dell Dimension B110,windows won't reboot. I had a steady green light and a flashing amber light on the first attempt to reboot, the fans kicked on for about 2 seconds then shut off. So I powered it down, unplugged it and opened the side cover, unseated and reseated some of the componets and tried to reboot. This time I got the same green light, the amber was now staedy as well, all
the fans started and stayed on, but the hard drive and cdrw still aren't responding.
What else can I try? It was working fine before this, I can't image that it would
be something serious, HELP!!!! :O
Thanks!
The amber light is the error light on a Dell. It can mean a few things. 1. RAM has went bad, not properly seated. 2. Video card has went bad or come unseated. 3. Power supply is not working properly; or 4. Motherboard has went bad. Hope this helps & please remember to rate my answer.
