Please help with learning how to burn video from my camcorder using my computer. I have a DVD burner on my computer and the camcorder came with USb cables , even the instruction book didn't show how it just showed how to by using a DVD Recorder. I know they make a JVC Everio DVD Burner but it is to much money.

Windows Movie Maker has a few features that are missing for it to complete the job, In fact Microsoft no longer supports the product. This is why it's not included in Vista. Nero makes software to do it as well as Pinnacle. I use Studio and it will walk you through the capture process, edit, menu creation, and burning to DVD.

Video memory full on camcord, how to burn it onto a dvd?

First be sure to have installed ImageMixer software that came with the camera. If you can't find the disc go here... then select your operating system and then select imagemixer to download.

Step 1:
Place camera onto docking station, connect usb cable to computer, open camera door, turn on camera. Imagemixer should open automatically, if not open up imagemixer.

Transfer to Computer:
Select "Viewing and Editing", then select "handycam" tap, click on "▼" (arrow) facing down, then click "movies". Place a check mark on each movie you wish to move to the computer then click "Options" tab (lower left corner) and see where the movies will end up once you click "Import to computer".

Burn to DVD:
Be sure you have a DVD drive that can write to DVD's. Will have DVD R/RW on the face of the drive. Place a blank DVD into drive. Follow Step 1. Then click "One Touch DVD Burn" from the imagemixer menu. Follow any instructions on screen.

Or you can choose to use Windows Explorer and select the drive letter that is your camera's harddrive and move/copy/cut/paste files directly from this location to another.

Transfer my minidv camcorder film onto DVD

You need to download the movie to a computer and store it in a video file. Then you should be able to use a software program to burn it to a DVD. I use a TIVO for watching and burning my videos. You don't need a computer. You save the video by recording it to the TIVO's hard drive then after it is on the drive you DUB it to an empty DVD-R disc.

Sony DCR-TRV38 - cannot burn movie to DVD

I found the best way of editing the footage from these cameras is to put the DVD disc into your computer and copy the contents of the VIDEO_TS folder onto another folder on your hard drive. The uses a video editing application which is specifically designed for the MPEG format. I would highly recommend the low cost "Womble MPEG Video Wizard" which is available for a 30 day trial at
