Question about First Alert Hardware & Accessories

The "F" LED remains on and I'm unable to get it to change states by depressing the settings button. This has happened on two of the units that are both less than 6 months old. Any ideas?

Copy following link to identify timer, and find comparable product that might last longer.

Check output voltage at outlet using multimeter. Should be minimum 80% rated value or 110Volt outlet = 88 volts
Check outlet with circuit analyzer for correct polarity and grounding.
All timers come with 1 year limited warranty, in this case it will be through seller because first alert does not show timers on their website.
Don't buy First Alert products.
They are generally cheaply made promotional grade timers.
I recommend Intermatic HB61RC or Woods 49103 or Intermatic HB65R because their products are good, and warranty policy is direct from company.

You have to keep the black rubber, triangular button depressed while you slide it opposite way of the LED lights.
(Just face the LED lights side to your body,depress black rubber button and slide down)

Oki C5510 'Unable to detect printer'


If you have all the led's lit and they are not flashing it means the printer is in download mode. In other words its waiting for you to download new firmware. Look at OKI's site and find the firmware and follow the instructions. That's why you cant install drivers because the printer no longer knows what it is!

I am trying to reset the password for my d-link DIR-615. I have tried the reset button but an unable to make anything happen - still telling me that my password is invalid. Help!


insert the tip of a pen or a paper clip into the 'reset' hole, push the button for 5 seconds or more, make sure the power is on for the router. For confirmation of resetting the router to default settings, you should be able to see all of the router's LED flashes or blinks, on certain models the router would restart itself.

When you're done, access the router with the default username and password as stated in your user manual.

If this happened recently then try to reset the printer to factory state. Please see procedure below:
1.Connect the Canon PIXMA iX4000 printer to the power cord. ( note : If the automatic power-on function is enabled in the printer, the printer enters the service mode for the first time, but it will never enter the service mode if the printer is turned off by the Power button. This is because the printer remains to be turned on internally if the power is turned off by the Power button. To prevent this, disconnection of the power cord is required before starting the printer in the service mode ) .

2.With the Canon PIXMA iX4000 printer powered off, while pressing the Resume/Cancel button, press and hold the Power button. (note : Don't release the buttons. The Power LED lights in green to indicate that a function is selectable.)

3.While holding the Power button, release Resume/Cancel button. (Don't release the Power button.)

4.While holding the Power button, press Resume/Cancel button 2 times, and then release both the Power and Resume/Cancel buttons.

5.When the Power LED lights in green, press the Resume/Cancel button 4 times to reset waste ink counter in the Canon Pixma iX4000. (note : If the Power LED does not light in green the printer does not enter the service mode, disconnect the power cord and plug it again. Then start from step 1 to start the printer in the service mode again).

6.At the end of the service mode, press the Power button. The paper lifting plate of the sheet feed unit will be raised.
Note :

Each time the Resume/Cancel button is pressed, the Alarm and Power LEDs light alternately, Alarm in orange and Power in green, starting with Alarm LED.
Other specified number of time(s) according to the function listed in the table below.

Dish washer does not turn on CL light stays on when reset count down 6 appears then goes to CL


Hello and welcome to Fixya,

I have a ton of service info on Bosch so it`s best I post you an exert from the service pdf`s I have on my PC which will explain the meaning of "CL" and then go from there. This is not a common indication of a control problem, but it could be a problem with the plastic casing which houses the control, we`ll deal with that later.

I`ve underlined the section pertaining to the "CL", this is for the SHU68** dishwashers only.

TO OPERATE:

First depress the On/Off Button until it locks in place.

Once the On/Off Button is depressed the LED above the previously used cycle will illuminate.

To change the cycle, simply press the desired Cycle Button twice. The LED above that cycle will then illuminate.

The Cycle Countdown will display an approximate run time for the cycle chosen.

This run time will depend on incoming water temperature and the turbidity of the pre-wash water.

Note: It is normal for the Countdown Display to remain at a time increment for more than one minute, or skip a time increment depending on the calculations of the Control Unit. Also, with continued use the Control Unit will learn the wash and temperature patterns for the most commonly used programs and will then reduce the overall start and running times.

At the end of the cycle the display will show a CL, indicating that the cycle is complete.

**TO CANCEL A CYCLE:
Press the Scrub Wash and Delicate / Econo Buttons both in at the same time. The unit will then drain and the figure CL will appear in the display.**

DELAY START:
The Delay Start feature allows the unit to be delayed for up to nine hours. To program, start the unit as described above, but after selecting a cycle push the Delay Start button. The display will show a 1h, or one-hour delay. Continue to depress the Delay Start Button until the desired delay time is reached (up to nine hours, 9h).
The unit will begin automatically once the delay time has elapsed. To reset the delay, press the Delay Start Button until it reaches 0h.

TOP RACK ONLY:
The Top Rack Only feature can be used in conjunction with any cycle. To active, press the Top Rack Only Button after selecting a
cycle, the Top Rack Only LED will illuminate and all water will be diverted to the upper wash arm for the complete cycle.

REFILL RINSE AGENT LED:
The Refill Rinse Agent LED is activated via a Reed Switch on the Detergent Dispenser, Section 4, Fig. 8-3. The LED will
illuminate when the Rinse Agent Dispenser is empty.
Service note: The Refill Rinse Agent LED will also illuminate when the dishwasher door is opened and then
closed even if the Dispenser is full, but will only remain lit for a few seconds.

“F” CODE:
An “F” in the display window indicates a filling fault.

Please note: If the door is opened during the cycle, the On/Off Button will be reset to off and must be depressed again to re-active the cycle. The cycle will resume from where it left off.

Now that you are equipped with this info, what I`d suggest is trying the **cancel option. ( ** see above )

Once you`ve tried the cancel option, select a Regular Wash and post back what happens and I`ll try to assist you from there.
