Canon Pixma MP210 printer paper pulls to the right

I have printed about 5 times and now whenever I try to print, the paper pulls to the right. I have checked for any foreign objects, checked paper thickness and etc. but everything seems in proper order. I need a printer that works more than 5 times. This is an all-in-one model, serial #JJTE32829 purchased from Best Buy back in May 08 with my HP laptop. What a disappointment. Thanks for your help in advance. Judy B

Exact same thing happens to me. Printer paper pulls to right and won't go through. Checked all possible solutions given in printer guide (i.e. paper size). I got mine in May of 08, too.

Normal 0 I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it will feed through the printer. The reason for this is in some cases I have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there over time.
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this way, saving costly repairs.
Hope this helps. Bud

The roller is too high to engage the paper if you only have a few sheets, the solution for me was to load a big wedge of paper ....then everything was o.k.

My Canon MP210 is not sending paper through when trying to print. The roller doesn't seem to be able to grip the paper properly

Precisely. On many printers that get older, the rollers shrink and don't grip paper properly. I had this problem on a laserprinter made by HP, that would take 5 sheets at a time due to this problem.

Canon MP210 Paper Jam

A common issue is moisture. As the relative humidity changes, the paper will absorb some of the excess moisture. (Ink jets don't get as hot as other printers; but they do have temperature changes during operation.)

Unfortunately, the only solution that I have ever found is to use paper from a just opened package. Try to keep only enough paper in the printer for a short duration of printing (1-2 weeks). Keep the rest of an open package of paper somewhere else where the temperature and humidity stays fairly constant.

I hope this helps.

Printer pulls paper to the right...causes paper jam

possibly some paper is stuck in the printer. Can you manage to open the printer and check this out. If no paper at all then possibly carry it in for in-warranty service to the company outlet.

Paper pulls to the right, jams, won't print, tried different paper still won't print

Remove the jammed paper. Unplug the printer from the mains and PC. Inspect the rollers, etc for tiny paper piece(s) that may be stuck, or other debris. Try to clean rollers and make sure they are dry.
Keep printer unplugged for about 2 minutes and replug and try a test print.
Also make sure that you have waited long enough for the printer to heat up before giving a print job.
Finally, it could be an issue with the paper sensor. If this is the case, you will probably have to take the printer in for servicing..

Hope that helps!

Sounds like the feed rollers need cleaning.
Clean the feed rollers, lint free cloth, bottled water.
wait for them to properly dry

Revolve the feed roller bar as you clean them, to clean the feed rollers all the way round, remove all particles from them.

Check you ADF grips are set correctly, if not you will get mis-fed sheets. check the tray is sat properly too or mis-feeds.

Check paper size is correct in print properties too.
Should be good then
Try print.

Paper jamming and feeding unevenly

I have the exact same problem. Until last night it worked perfectly, and when it ran out of paper, I put more papers in the back of the printer correctly and since then it won't print, it pulls paper to the right and the paper jams. I tooked the printer to the service and they say that I'm lucky that the warranty did not expired yet, cause the problem is a "manufacturing mistake", and that they will take it to the Canon service.

I realy hope they will do the job. I'm expecting to repair be done till tomorow.
