When changing toner module from red - black, copier will not work
Have a Kodak Ektaprint 235 copier. Has capability to swap black toner to red toner module. After swapping, copier will not leave an image. Had problem putting black back in, would not slide in very easy. Now there is no image. Machine runs paper through like it does work.

Re: When changing toner module from red - black, copier...
It is due to the smoky cover on the image captaring optics.it needs to be cleaned.your toner and drum are very much okay and have nothing to do with this problem.just clean the optics and glasses to get back the printer to work.

Did you change the toner cartridge? If so, then check the fuser for a stripe on it which may be toner. Make sure the inside of the copier is clean. However your symptom sounds like a faulty toner cartridge. Try swapping it out.
CRUM chip communication trouble = the chip on the toner cartridge is faulty.
1, Try to clear the code press P, *, C, *, to enter the service simulation, on the key pad press 1,6, then the copy start, press execute on the screen.
2, Change the toner cartridge. If it is a brand new one return to supplier as fault, if it is a refilled new one take back to supplier (the CRUM chip serves as a genuine supplies protection for sharp and 'blows' when the toner is empty the re-filler will have to put a new chip on it)
are you printing from the pc or standalone? if just from printer please try to uninstall reinstall the printhead then recalibrate it then do a deep clean of the printhead then try to print and see if there is improvement. if not...then that is a printhead issue
