Overheating When the CPU overheats then it will shut down (i.e. thermal overload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down. If this is the problem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail.
A faulty fan causes the problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are clogged with dust.
Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan.
If the fan and heat sink is clogged with dust the remove the dust and make sure the vents are clear and dust free. Use a small brush and can of compressed air to do this.

What will happen if my laptop gets over heated?

The temperature of a laptop is very essential, and if it reach too high of a level can cause in data loss, hardware damage, or complete loss of function. There are many components in a computer that keep it in the right temperature range-the heat sink, CPU fan, vents fans, and, in some cases, a cooling liquid if any of them fail, or start to fail, the overall temperature of a laptop may raise, causing damage over time.

Replaced heatsink and cpu temperature sensor is incorrectly high

When it crashes, does it happen at the same spot? Does it get into the OS or are you looking at a hardware monitor in the BIOS to get your temp. Was the heatsink replaced because it was doing the same thing before? I'm not sure overheating is the cause since 158F is only 70C and that's not hot enough to cause a shutdown. T-Max on the almost all CPUs is 100C.

I did everything (remove, check, clean, replace thermal past) for my qosmio F30-140's fans, but still they run normally without temperature level. Despite of high temperature, they run normally; before it...

Not sure if I understood the problem, but fan's speed is controlled by a motherboard. if it's intel CPU based laptop, usually the temperature might reach 80 C degrees before fans start to spin faster.

Laptop overheating, need to remove the back casing.

Most laptop having high temperature. Use notebook cooler and place it under the laptop...Overheating is caused by CPU..so if you can opening the CPU, clean the CPU for both cooler and CPU surface, then put into it a cpu thermal grease. This way will reduce CPU temperature.

My laptop makes a high pitched noise

The high pitched noise you hear is most likely caused by the CPU cooling fan on your laptop. If you suspect that this high pitched sound is caused by the fan going out, you can spray your laptop with compressed air to get the dust off of the fan.
This solution will make your laptop work at a cooler temperature, and reduce the noise.

If the problem persists, seek a certified laptop repair specialist.

Hp laptop shuts itself down

Laptops are designed (by software) to shut themselves off as a protection measure. The most common problem is high temperatures. Do you hear your fan racing while you are using it? Do you sit your laptop on soft surfaces (like the bed or carpet floor) while using it? Do you smoke around your laptop while using it? These are common things that cause high temperatures on your laptop and will cause it to shut down. May not be your case but just a though. I would take it somewhere or open it up yourself(if you are pass your warranty time ONLY) and clean out the dusk with some air.

Hope this helps!

High temperature CPU!

NEVER not use your laptop on a flat surface. Buy something to prop it up with. Then get a small fan and sit it by the laptop. This should help. This laptop breathes from the bottom.
