Question about Computers & Internet
I believe this is what is causing my heater not to work on my BMW, as the car runs at normal temperature, gets good circulation but does not get heat inside the car but a very VERY minimal amount. I am new to this type of control vale having dealt with domestic cars, and by what I am understanding this particular valve can divert the fluid away from the heater core if stuck in a position because of the 3 lines running to it. Would love to just by pass this valve and run it more direct...is this possible?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

when the car is running, there is enough air to cool the radiator, however, when when the AC kick on, the radiator absorb more of the heat from the AC coil. there by require more cooling. the 2 fan are there for that purpose.
as far as the smell of antifreeze, you nee to check all of the cooling hoses, in the engine compartment and under the dash. sound like there is a small leak some place.

If the hoses to and from the heater core are hot , and you say the heater core is hot , then the only answer is that the air duct that flows into or out of the heater core plenum ( housing ) is not opening.
Heater control on dash borad inoperative.
Not sure about 92 capri , some cars have a cable linkage , some work on vacume motors.
Try to find a haynes manual for your car , they will walk you through almost every step of anything you may ever want to do to your car.
You seem to know what you are doing , but I gotta ask ........the heater core you felt was up behind the dash inside the passenger compartment of the car right ?

check the heater tap,it controls the flow through the heater core,it sounds like its not opening.even google images to see what it is and where its located, its a fairly straight foward fix, depending on why the tap wont open

Probably not water pump. Engine is notourious for vapour lock.
Cooling system must be blead of air before thermostat will work. Cool bottom rad hose is a dead give away. If you are still watching this forum reply , and I will walk you through the only way I know how to make it work properly. It's actually easy if you do it my way. I have worked on lots of cars , and this engine was the hardest to bleed out. Did one Yesterday , and works perfect.

Make sure the blower runs, then make sure the heat and ventilation control doors move as they should. If you have hot coolant flowing through the heater core, air flow through the core, and appropriate air flow path, then you will have heat.
