I have a Runco CL-810 projector, how do you clean the fan filter?

Filter will be located near the intake fan. You can remove it and clean it. Normally just blow out the dust. If it is oily you can use dish soap be sure it is fully dried before replacement. The fans you can blow out (with machine off) Be sure not to spin them too fast or the bearings will be destroyed.

Picture grew dim and then finally went out.

The capacitors on the power supply need to be replaced. When you take apart the projector, and then remove the power supply (it's the section that the power cord goes to) and open it up. Look for the little can capacitors and see if any of them are bulging on top. That is the sign that they've blown. Replace the big ones (about 5) for about $5 in parts. Reassemble and test by turning it on. Search for YouTube video on howto replace capacitors.

My projector does not seem to be very bright.

Time for a new lamp. As they age the dim and become yellowish. 1600 to 1800 hours is about max.

Reset lamp timer runco vx-5000

Using the remote control for your projector, turn the unit on, then select 'menu' on the remote. On the menu that pops up in the screen, select 'SERVICE', then 'DISPLAY DEVICE', then 'INSTALLATION'... once you select that, scroll over to the "RESET" under the lamp hours... this should reset it.

Here is a link to the owners manual for your unit.

Need to adjust from full screen to wide screen on Runco SC3050

You need to use the remote, press the Menu button... on the menu that pops up on the screen, use the remote to scroll down to where it says "aspect ratio", and then select enter.

From that menu, you can select all the different aspect ratios that your Runco can perform.

Here is a link for the owners manual, straight from Runco.

Service menu passcode for runco vx-1000d

Hello,

I understand you have a VX-1000d.

You only want to reset if the projector doesn't turn on because it is a safety feature so the lamp does not explode. They get really hot and need to be replaced when due. You can buy one from the supplier or online.
There is a reset button on the inside of the
RGB connection bay(look deep) for a reset button, hold it down until the lamp light turns blue.
If flipped over on it's back, you would see it straight down beyond the connectors. Of course this will reset to factory settings.

Do you have the processor?
