Even wht to format my memory card
Don't worry just format your phone memory,wat u hve do is first make backup of ur phone memor if u want to and then switch it off,and after that press and hold together ur 3 keys of ur keypad that is ur red, green and menu buttons with camera botton and switch on ur mobile, note that u hve to press ur 3buttons+camera buttons+switch on button till it is switch on...........try this it will work and try not to make folders inside your gallery just keep as it is..........u can format ur memory card by file manager of ur mobile just go into file manager choose memory open it and clik on option uwil see a memory card option and format it.........
SOURCE: MMC memory card is corrupted (1GB). does not format.
Please try to format the memory card using a memory card reader on computer and then insert the card back in phone, it will say corrupted again, but now you try again to format it from phone and it should work now,,.....

MMC puchased should be formatted once, because new MMC comes with file system FAT-32. and mobile phones supports FAT file system. You can copy your data from MMC to PC using MMC reader/writer first. Then format it in your mobile and then reload your data in formatted MMC at folder created during formatting. Then you may see your MMC working properly. Fix your problem and vote here to fixya for solution....

here are some instruction you can follow to format you memory card
For soft format
*#7370# or *#7780# Reset your phone to the default factory settings. Usually you will need this code when you want to reset your phone back to the same condition when you got it for the first time. When the phone ask for security code, the default one is 12345.
Warning: Before you do reset the phone, make sure that you don’t have important data. Your data on the phone memory will be lost once you reset it.
For full format
Use the three button combination. Switch off the phone. then press the three buttons (green button, * , 3) and switch on the phone. the phone will switch on and display formatting on the screen. you van then let go of the buttons and wait for the format to finish. Make sure your battery is fully charged or the charger is connected.
Note: Better to go Nokia Service Center rather trying yourself as trying those means you are taking risks.
