Question about Fuji FinePix S5200 / S5600 Digital Camera

1 Answer

My screen's camera says, "Card is Full."

I have a FinePix S5200. I have been taking pictures with it, nothing has ever happened. Just recently I was taking some pictures with it, suddenly it stopped taking pictures and the screen said, "Card is full." I tried to delete all the pictures in the data. The screen was still saying, "Card is full." I even went online to find help in how to format the xd-picture card, I formatted it many times. However, the screen still kept on saying, "Card is full." Now, I cannot take any picture with the camera, due to the screen that says, "Card is full." If you can help me solve this problem, I would appreciate your help very much!

SOURCE: No picture taken when shutter release is pressed

if you see no reation of the pressing of the button i.e. no focusing, no error message nothing , then most probably a simplest problem , the shutter release button may not be working for few reasons : 1) defective switch. 2) defective flex cable. 3) camera exposed to some physical jerk or dropping resulting into disalingment between inner switch and the shutter release button.

SOURCE: camera says Frame no full cant take anymore pictures Help!

Copy your card to hard drive, reformat your memory card, and see what the numbers of pictures it gives you.

If you lower the resolution of the camera, the more pictures you can take.

Bad news. The A345 will only accept up to a 1gb xd card. Here's a link to Fuji's camera/card compatibility chart. http://www.fujifilm.ca/x7970.xml
Just highlight the address and paste it into your address bar.

After I take a picture, why does the screen read write error?

This can happen from time to time with digital cameras. Usually you can solve this by formatting the memory card (transfer your photos first!) via the camera menu.

My Fuji Finepix s5600 camera started displaying "card error" when I tried to take a pictures. I entered the Fine Pix Viewer, clicked on the DCIM folder, and then when I clicked on the 100_Fuji...

Try to use you camera to format the card maybe it will be get better, else you can use a card reader to read the card and see if it's all right, or you can try to use the card with other cameras and see if it's OK. It seems your card you have used well for some time, so it won't be the wrong card type. Else you have to check if the card is one of the types which your camera support

When i take a picture, a white bar comes across the screen saying "write error"... how can i fix that?

I would check your memory card to be sure that it is not full. Next is that there might be cross-referenced files on the card. Save the files you DO have somewhere and try to format the card again. That should clear it up. If not then I would suggest getting another card because it would seem the one you have now would be 'bad' by the time you go through all of this ( from a troubleshooting point of view )

That is strange, maybe taking the batteries out and putting them back in could reset the camera to normal. Electronic problems are real tough.

Install S5200

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.
