Question about Mitsubishi WD-52525 52" Rear Projection HDTV

1 Answer

I have a Mitsubishi DLP 52525 that has a bluish static

The static is vertical at about inch 10-15 and 40-45 and comes in waves from left to right then disappears every 5-10 seconds. It appears while using the Blue Ray player and 480 780 and 1080 feeds. I am currently using HDMI but the problem still exists with component cables. It is obviously worse when the screen color is black. The bulb was replaced 6 months ago.

Gateway laptop vertical dotted lines across the screen

Sounds like a problem with the LCD assembly or cable. You may want to reseat the LCD cable at the LCD end. It could be a loose internal connector in the LCD assembly.

Vertical black line on screen

Your set has either a bad driver board or more likely a bad plasma panel.

BLUE VERTICAL LINE

The address module that is at the bottom of the PDP in that location is the suspect and the cheapest repair. There is usually 3 to 4 modules at the bottom of the PDP and each one addresses information vertically. If it were just one pixe wide then the PDP would be bad.

White Horizontal Lines near the top of my Screen

this symptom is what we called vertical fold-over. vertical fold-over is characterised by a white horizontal bar on the bottom or top of the raster due to the concentration or compression of the trace lines. it an image is present, the bottom or top portion is fold over. this is caused by a vertical deflection current with poor linearity, which compresses the trace lines at the bottom or top of the screen. this symptom is is caused by a defective sawtooth wave genetator circuit, or improper biasing or defective feedback circuit of the vertical drive or vertical output transistor/ic. the negative feedback circuit in vertical deflection circuit compensates for the linearity of the trace portion of the sawtooth wave. a decrease in the capacitance of the sawtooth generator capacitor is usually the trouble. but if you do not understand anything what i have written here, better bring it to a qualified tv technician for your own safety also. good luck!
