Question about Toys
Hi i've been fiddling with my ferguson f2250ld tv trying to put a timer on it so it would turn off after being inactively for a prolonged period of time. Whilst doing this i accidentally activated the child lock and am now unable to access the TV . I can only turn it on but not change channel or anything . As i did not own a remote for this tv before i ordered a replacement but i was just wondering if when i get the remote anyone knows how to remove the child lock and what are the steps to do so. Much appreciated

SOURCE: Permant child lock
Sorry man The only way I know to unlock it is with the original remote. They are available at http://www.remotes.com You have to press the M or Mute button and the F or the Function button at the same time. If the remote you have has these buttons try them. Like I said if it doesnt work, you will need an original remote. See if anyone you know has one you can borrow or the store where you bought the TV, maybe they will let you borrow one. Good Luck

My child lost the tv remote and we have the child lock on so we can;t change the channel or the volume. Do you know how to turn it off without the remote?

Tips for a great answer:
the manual for your television. Though slightly embarrassing, accidentally
turning on the child lock to a TV is a common problem. The section In the
manual about how to set the child lock feature will also explain how to unlock
a few "universal methods" for unlocking the child lock. Some
televisions have a universal code built in for disabling the child lock --no
matter what your code is. A common code is "0000."
Unplug your television for a few minutes. The internal battery of the TV is what helps remember what your code. If the TV is unplugged for an extended period of time, it clears the internal memory, which in turn will reset your child lock code.
