SOURCE: wiring diagram for a kenwood KDC MP232

Aftermarket cd players are all universal and have the same colors. You need to go to your local car audio store such as walmart, bestbuy, ect and buy a wire harness adapter. Then all the wires are color coordinated to make it easy, just wire colored wires together and plug in. If I have helped please leave positive feedback. Thanks

I have kenwood mp245 and the protect word is displayed what can I do to get the radio to play

Make certain all speakers are good the cables are not damaged and there are no bad connections causing a short.
If that doesn't clear it you may have a shorted part, such as a transistor in the amp section.

I have a Kenwood kdc -mp245 and when its on it reads protect. How do I stop that?

you need to check all your speakers first. just because they play don't mean they aren't blown. This protects your radio from blowing out any channels. Once you replace that bad speaker or shorted out speaker, reset the radio and you are good to go.

I just bought the car and the cd player screen just says protect when I turn it on how can I reset it

You might want to check the speakers and speaker wires for shorts and grounds first. If everything checks out, if it has a reset switch, it will be a small indentation about the size of a pencil tip on the face. It will not be marked. If there is not reset switch, you can reset it by disconnecting the battery for few minutes.

Hi, the tape deck in my 2004 Ford Taurus SEL wagon is running slow, so music played sounds off. I am thinking of purchasing a tape converter for our mp3 player in the car. Will the slower speed affect...

well first off have you thought about getting a CD deck that has AUX input so you can hook up your MP3 to the deck by an AUX cable. as far as the tape player running slow i would say it needs to be cleaned by a professional because the little rubber belt may be going bad also. If you want to go to a AUX CD deck look at crutchfield.com or go to an authorized kenwood dealer in your area and look for the kenwood KDC-MP245. Going through the AUX instead of tape would sound a little bit better and if you want to go a bit better than the AUX then you should go to the KDC-HD545U. The KDC-MP245 is $99.99 before shipping and the KDC-HD545U is $169.99 before shipping. I hope I answered your question and please vote and leave high marks. Thank you very much.
