Try uninstalling and reinstalling the monitor drivers if any are applicable, run a direct X test on your hardware make sure your video card is OK. Try doing a wiggle test on the VGA cable that is plug ed into the back of your computer, that sends the signal to the monitor. Work your way from one end of the cable to the other, look at the monitor screen and see if there is any change in the color , if that don't do it its possible there could be a lose connection between the circuit board and the picture screen inside the monitor, unless your mechanically inclined and know some basics of electronics its recommended you don't do this and get some one who is qualified to do so, but if you are mechanically inclined and do know basics of electronics and if your feeling confident remove the power cord from the wall outlet, remove the power cord from the back of the monitor, shut down your computer and unplug it from the wall outlet, remove the VGA cable from your computer, examine where all the screws are that hold the housing from the monitor together put a white sheet on your bed and carefully and slowly split the housing which are the front and back of your monitor, in the center of the white sheet so if any screws fall out you'll see them on the sheet, when you pull the two halves apart, if it doesn't come apart don't force it study its body and check for more screws when you get them apart , before you touch anything inside the monitor touch a metal object some where in the room that has no electric or electronics on or with in it, to release any static electricity from you body once you do so and open the monitor check all connectors for looseness or any corrosion don't touch anything else but the connectors. if all is well and the problem still exist bring it to a repair shop or bye a new one go to EBay or try www.MicroCenter.com those are your cheapest places, unless money is no object.
