Panasonic clock radio RC-6099 How to set the time

No manual with it. Seems to default back to 12.00. Buttons side and front??? Suspect it is my fault, not the equipment. Having access to a manual would help.

1. Press and hold button on top front marked: "Time Set" (also has "OFF" above it) 2. Using LHS buttons to go forward or reverse as marked press and hold until correct time is displayed. Middle button here will move it fast then release and use single button when closer. To set alarms either the Alarm 1 or 2 (also marked "Display/Adjust" held down while using the side buttons as before.

    1. Press and hold "Time Set" button (also marked "Off")
2.Use buttons on LHS to advance or reverse time (as labeled) Middle button here increases the speed while. The other buttons move the time set slowly forward or back.
To set alarms use the "Alarm 1 or 2" buttons instead of "Time Set" and the side buttons as before.

3: Move "Off On Lock" switch to "Off" (left) position. You will see the unlocked symbol appear on the display.

5: Push the "Time Set" button. (It is the one closest to the "Off On Lock" switch).

6: Use the "Alarm Time" or "Radio Tune" buttons to set the time. (Note: "PM" will appear in the upper left corner of the front display when your time is after noon!)

I'm using my dad's old Panasonic RC-6064 alarm clock. How do I set the time and the alarm?

The Hour/Minute buttons are on the bottom of the radio. Just press the hour or minute buttons to adjust the regular time. Alarm is the same but you hold the alarm button on top.

Changing the time

you can go to http://www2.oregonscientific.com/assets/manuals2/bar338pa.pdf to see or print the user's manual.

If you don't want to get the manual, here's what you do to fix it. . . . .
*note: you need to do this anytime you change the batteries.

1) open the battery cover
2) on the left side you'll see 3 little buttons labeled a)zone, b)C/F c)reset
3) push the reset
4)push the zone button until your time zone is highlighted on the front display
5) look at the front display & if you see a blinking "radio signal" icon at upper left of time numerals
don't do anything else. The time, date, etc. will automatically synchronize your clock with the US Atomic Clock. This could take up to 10 minutes. As long as the "radio signal" icon is blinking, it's working on it. When the icon doesnt' blink, it's set. Cool, huh?
6) if the area you live in can't receive the signal from the Atomic Clock, instead of a blinking "radio signal", you'll see just a bare antennae. Since you probably set your clock manually, that's what it shows now before you do anything.
7) after you push reset & set the time zone do NOT touch any other buttons to set anything!!! (I know it's difficult to leave things alone, but just sit on your hands). Pushing the "clock" button or the up & down arrows will stop the radio signal & change to manual functions. Look at the signal icon mentioned in 5) and 6) above. If you only have the bare antennae icon. . . . . go ahead & set the time/date yourself. You have no signal.

Enjoy your clock!
