Question about Wacom Intuos3 Graphic Tablet
Normally, my Intuos3 tablet is able to easily distinguish pressures when I'm using it for drawing, painting, etc. However, just recently the pen stopped recognizing pressure sensitivity in Photoshop CS3 altogether. I checked the tablet's properties and everything's working fine with the pen, but I'm still very frustrated about the fact that it stopped working right after I had it for hardly a week.
OK, I found the problem -- if you open photoshop with the mouse (whether it be through the quicklaunch bar, start menu, or desktop icon), the pressure sensitivity doesn't work. If you open it with the stylus or function button (I have a function button mapped for photoshop now because of this, since there's no icon on my tablet's display with how I have my display set up) the pressure sensitivity works fine.
A quick KIND of fix, but until Adobe actually does something about it, this is probably the easiest way to do it.

If youre running windows vista, open Photoshop as administrator. Fixed it for me, and I'm using a Wacom Tablet.

Ive had this problem, where my babmoo tablet doesnt work for photoshop. Ive downloaded billions of drivers and ive tried the f5 pressure sensitivty option. What i did was, i downloaded sai..might be a free trial...and ive opened it up. u get the sensitivity there. After that, open photoshop and you should have the pressure sensitivty. then, of course you can close sai. i know its a bit much,..and sai is a WAY better program..but if ud like still draw in photo..go ahead. for me, photoshop is always good to fix my mistakes after working in sai. :))
