the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Does the laptop have a restore function built in?
When you start it up do you see anything that indicates a restore program?

SOURCE: Slow computer -how to restore a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pro v1000

If the units are running slow, you can do some maintenance on them to speed them up.

First, run defragmenter on both units.(in Safe mode)

Download ScrubXP which will automatically clear your temp, cookies and TIF files.

Download CCleaner and run it.

Run your Anti-virus program: download the free version of AVG. (Great virus protection.)

Other programs to use are SpyBlaster and Winpatrol, all of which are free.
This should help, if you feel that you need to format and restore the units, youcan do so. But try this first.

How do i restore my wife's labtop back to the factory settings and erase everything. I've tried a lot. I'm lost now.

Most laptops come with a "rescue disk", or let you create one. Boot off the rescue disk. It will wipe everything, and return the system to the way it was when you first got it.

Want to wipe everything out back to factory

If you have a restore CD then you can reinstall Windows.
If you have a Windows installation CD then you can use this to reinstall Windows.
Reinstalling Windows will wipe your data from the hard disk.

Remove windows from acer aspire 5100

I think you have dual Os on it i.e Win XP & Win Vista. So, I am sorry to say that you can not access the full factory restore from the recovery partion. At this point, I would suggest you to contact the Acer Technical Supprt and order for RCD (Recovery Disk) inorder to wipe everything from the computer or you can use a Disk Manager utility to wipe everything from the computer. You can visit the below link to download the software

My sony vaio cs hd been formated n sum software hv been deleted

When a hard drive is formatted or re-formatted, it wipes out everything on the disk. Any software you want put back needs to be re-installed from your program or system restore CD's. If you don't have the original disks, you can try " http://www.restoredisks.com " and put in your pc model and can order the CD(s) from them around $27.00 US. These CDs should restore your pc back to factory settings.

How to do factory restore on Asus laptop.

When you restore, you will be wiping everything including email addresses - so back up EVERYTHING first. Get yourself an external USB drive, cheap and well worth it. So many people don't have any backup of their data and their world ends when their hard disk fails. A hard disk is a spinning device so it will die one day. One year? 5 years? 10 years? Who knows, but it will eventually wear out if it doesn't fail first. So backup, ok?
Now. How to...
You haven't specified the model so they may be different.
You could have a look on the disk - there may be instructions on it in a file like a howto file or something.
Also, try some of these -

Wipe Hard drive without operating disks

Get in touch with your PCs manufacturer to get fresh set of disks (you can also download them from your mfg website), or check if it has a Utility Partition (usually press F10, F11 or F12 while booting up).

Sony Fj270 upgraded to vista ultimate, now cannot restore among other things.

OK YOU NEED A DISK WIPE/ HARD DRIVE WIPE THERE ARE A TONE OF THEM ON EBAY FOR GOOD PRICES BUT MAKESHURE THAT YOU GET THE ONES ON DISK NOT A DOWNLOAD OR USE THE INSTAL DISK FROM THE WIN VISTA AND FOLOW THE STEPS AS BOOT FROM THE DISK AND FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS UNTILL YOU GET TO THE PARTITION SPOT, THERE YOU JUST NEED TO DEL THE PARTITION AND THEN CLOSE THE INSTAL, EJECT THE DISK , REBOOT , AND BOOT FROM YOUR WIN XP DISK AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS FROM THERE ON

SEE WINDOWS WONT LET YOU INSTALL A PREVIOUS VERSION OF ITS SELF BUT I WOULD USE A WIPE DISK SO YOU DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ANY "BLADING" OF DATA
