Question about Sony CMT-RB5 Shelf System
Yo, i had that problem for a while.. after a LOT of surfing the web, I located the service manual and used it to execute a "COLD RESET".
A cold reset basically resets everything.. If you dont mind losing your presets (like EQ's) then this will work.. to initiate this you need to: (copied from the manual)
" COLD RESET
The cold reset clears all data including preset data stored in the EEPROM on initial conditions. Execute this mode when returning the set to the customer.
1. Press [On/Standby] button to turn on the system.
2. Press [STOP] button, [ENTER] button, and [On/Standby] button simultaneusly.
3. "COLD RESET" appears on the fluorescent indicator tube. After that, the flurescent indicator tube becomes blank for a while, and the system is reset."
Hope this helps :) Not many people know about this method to fix the shuffle ON problem.. Have a good one...
