SOURCE: I need a wiring diagram for my iTrip. The wires

@dpettus88

I had the same problem. The plastic harness around the connector broke after I had the iTrip for only a few months. It finally quit working recently. I was amazed to see how cheaply made this somewhat expensive item was when I finally took it apart. Anyways, here is what I came up with. There\'s a bit of whine in the signal, which I believe is because my soldering on the yellow and brown wires left a little to be desired. But, as I said, this configuration did actually work. Will post results of cleaning up the connection on those two pads.

Rotate the iTrip AutoPilot FM Transmitter controller so that its buttons are facing up and its data cable is on the left side. The data cable wires attach to a row of contact points along the left side of the circuit board as follows (from top to bottom):

1 = Purple
2 = White
3 = Blue
4 = Red
5 = Black
6 = Brown
7 = Green
8 = Yellow
9 = <unused>
