While watching a DVD, it suddenly stopped playing. Since then every DVD I attempt to play just ejects. The DVD goes in, then just ejects right away. I bought a DVD player cleaner, but that just ejects as well. And I tried unplugging and plugging back in, but problem persists.
Purchased in `07, but Mintek's phone # and website listed on manual are no longer in service, and I can't find anything online.

These units have had a failure in either logic board or the main board. The only way to repair these units is to get replacement boards and see if this repairs the problem. You can try to source these parts at e-bay. Use the search engine, plug in the make of you television model number, and part number of the board you think you need for the repair. The search engine will bring up all available parts for you.You can also try this website for parts. http://www.discount-merchant.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=&Search=PCB&RefineBy_Manufacturer=MINTEK I hope this information is of some help to you with your problem.
Actually, it is not a Projection TV Problem. The problem is with a Mintek DTV-265 26" flat screen digital TV (not projection). I have not yet resolved the problem by unplugging the set, pressing the eject button and replugging in the set nor have I had any other suggetions. The manual clearly indicates Mintek DTV-265 26" (not Mintek DTV-263) but I feel they are very similar; however, the manual does not mention losing/restoring the on screen menu.
