Hello I would like to know how to clear this paper jam issue. I have changed the port setting. When the printer feeds, it does it hard way instead smooth feed. The printer was working fine, until I sat it on the floor for a few days. Everytime I go to print it say "Paper Jam".

Re: Paper Jam Photosmart C3180
I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy
paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print
button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it
will feed through the printer. The reason for this is in some cases I
have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this
way, saving costly repairs.
Hope this helps.Bud

I understand that you're receiving what you believe to be a 'false' paper jam on your HP Photosmart C6280 All-in-One Printer. I would like to work with you today with resolving this issue. Paper jams can be real or false. The product might report a paper jam even when there is no jammed paper. A false paper jam may also be the result of having a bad paper jam at a point in time and that bad jam causing a hardware issue to the paper sensor or rollers. I am going to provide you with some additional troubleshooting steps that apply to both real and false paper jams. You did state that you already checked the paper pathway inside the printer and failed to find any evidence of paper being stuck, but please run the step-by-step troubleshooting below, even if you have already run some of the steps.
Points to there being paper stuck in the feed rollers, if you have cleared the jam, there may be a shred of paper still stuck, try to examine and remove.
If it IS fully clear and the indicatiors still show a paper jam, check the feed rollers are making contact with the paper, that the paper detector has not been bent upwards ( fooling the printer into thinking that there is still a jam).
Try rebooting the printer, if the problem still shows, this is a job for a qualfied technician
To clear the paper jam, please turn off the printer and it will attempt to clear the jam by itself. You might see an error code on the printer too which will help you identify the issue.
To remove the paper jam manually, turn off the printer and then remove the paper tray. Check for paper that is trapped in the same. Also try to access other printer areas where paper travels in the course of printing. You could remove the toner or ink cartridge go gain access to hidden areas in the printer.
Ty to roll the gears and rotate the paper feed mechanism to free up the jam. If you locate a piece of paper hold it with both hands and attempt to get as large a grip as possible, then slowly pull. The objective is to not to cause a tear in the paper and pull it out in one smooth motion.
Put the toner and paper tray back in it's place. Switch on the printer and check by printing a test page.
This should resolve the issue.
> unplug the power chord from the printer.
> open the rear access door.
> you will get full access to the rollers.
> remove the jammed paper gently.
> clean the rollers using a lint free cloth.
> close the rear access door.
> try to make a copy.
