SOURCE: NComputing L230 won't connect to host

First Please check your Lan IP Address for host pc.
change IP address and subnet mask on L230
disable firewall or any antivirus that is blocking ports.
Then you will get connected.

Please recheck which model number you are working with, since what you are describing sounds like the L300 and not the L230. If it is the L300, then you may have initiated a firmware update from the console or from within the device. There were some issues with single core vs. multi-core processors with earlier versions of vSpace. Perhaps the two server/hosts you're using as a reference point are different in that one is single core, the other is multi-core. Regardless, my recommendation is to uninstall the vSpace software, reboot, run their cleanup utility, and reinstall the latest version. Before reinstalling, make SURE that you have applied any Service Packs and ALL of the current MS updates. Additionally, browse Device Manager and make sure there are NO missing or conflicting drivers. Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT install from the provided CD. As of this posting date, the cleanup utility is available here: nc-eng.com/tools/ncuninstall. The most up to date vSapce for L230 is on the NComputing download site. If you hit this post later and the supplied URLs are not valid call NComputing TS at 888-365-1210. Lastly do NOT forget to register the vSpace software.

Please explain your problem better so we can help you. Download current version for yourOS from the NComputing download site, install vSpace and reboot and register. Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT install from theprovided CD and upgrade. Simply install straight from the downloadfile I provided in the link. Lastly makeSURE you REGISTER vSpace. Be sure toenable the background hardware activation option. This is available on the last screen of theregistration or in the NComputing System console, under System Settings.

Cannot connect server ...... client PC diplay this message


Can you PING the L230 device from the server? In other words, are you confident there is a clear IP path from server to device? Also, if you're running on XP, turn off the XP firewall as a test. If that works and you still want to run with the firewall on, then you'll need to specify specific ports to be opened up on your firewall or your domain's firewall policy. Those ports, as listed from NComputing's website are:
Port Exceptions
  • For L-series device connection
    • TCP: 27605, 27615, 3581, 3597, 3645, 3646
    • UDP: 1027, 1283, 3581
  • For vSpace registration
    • TCP Port 3630

First l230 connect to vspace ok,then i installed safe360 , then l230 report "terminal server - yet not ready. please, retry ..."


What is Safe360, an AntiVirus or Firewall software? If so, the program may have inadvertently blocked port access to the kernel which vSpace needs access to for user sessions. Below are the port exceptions for firewall configurations and file exceptions for Antivirus configurations. Current as of this post.

Ncomputing server 2003 hang problem when user (L230) login to server


Make sure you're on the latest vSpace software for W2K3, that version is v4.9.5 and is available on their download site. The issue you mentioned will be resolved if you update your software and register it. Make sure to enable bakground hardware activation in the system settings. That's managed through the vSpace console.

How activasi L130 (6 units), because the problem when the program is run L130 vspace this message does not appear activasi ... and now L130 could not connect to the server because it was past 30 days ..


Simply register your vSpace software, the registration wizard is part of the Program group.run that registration, takes less than 90s, and make sure you enable background hardware activation from the vSpace Console, system settings.
