SOURCE: loose toilet seat

If the screws don't tighten the either the screw threads are stripped or the attachment nut is stripped. Take the screw and nut to any hmoe repair center and get new ones. remember don't over-tighten then screws as this will crack the unit.

Hi, Wendy and the usual suspects are:

4. Failed main circuit breaker or ignition switch, check for loose connections and continuity.
5. Failed system and or ignition relay, check for continuity.
6. Failed ignition coil, ignition/electronic module.
7. Failed CKP, CPS, CMP, MAP, TPS, or BAS sensor, corroded, loose or broken wire connector pins/sockets.
8. Throttle cables and or idle speed improperly adjusted hot idle speed should be 950 RPM to 1000 RPM.
9. Air/fuel mixture screw improperly adjusted.
10. Accelerator pump damaged or not working.
11. Water or dirt in the fuel system, carburetor or filter.
12. Restricted, blocked or kinked fuel line.
13. Fuel tank empty.
14. The gas cap is not venting properly or fuel tank venting system blocked.
15. A failed fuel pump, pressure regulator and or fuel injectors.

When i turn my satnav on open page comes on and then it showes a picture of satnav charging from a laptop and will not go to anything else can u help me please thanks graham

Hi Graham,I had exactly the same problem with my Nav Man S50. After the icon of the lap top my screen went blank. I updated it via the soft ware provided but no updates were available. In fact the problem turned out to be the on/off switch. Although it was glowing red it was not charging. I simply placed a pen into the switch and it worked.
Hope this will help.

My vitra soft close toilet seat doesn't soft close anymore?

Chances are that the friction washers that control the closure rate are worn out. Most of these are not replaceable so you will need to get a new one. Thanks

My coolpix s50 won't turn on. to my knowledge it hasn't come into contact with any water or liquids and the battery is fully charged. is this something i can fix myself or do i need to send it to nikon?

Happened to me before. Suggest you try and check the battery cover lid, close it properly because there is a sensor underneath there, where it will turn off the camera if the lid is open. Try it several time and ways. Hope this might help, it does to me and now my S50 is working perfectly... cheers!!

Food and water freezes but ice cream is soft

Check the door gasket seal.
Open the door for a few seconds and then close.
Immediately open the door again, and, if sealing properly, it should take more pulling force to open the door.

Sliding Lens Door Problem -- Canon S50

I had the same problem with a S50, where the lens door would not operate properly and would not open enough to cause the camera to activate. I took it apart and found that there are two small gears that keep the door on track, one had split in half and jammed the mechanism. They were white plastic, perhaps nylon? I found another S50 on ebay with broken electronics but a working lens door and took parts from it to fix my system. Getting the tiny gear in place was tricky as there are several springs used to activate the camera on switch.
