The camera has to plugged into a usb 1.1 port, it will not work with a usb 2.0 port. Try using the additional usb ports on a monitor or keyboard. Otherwise you will need to use a usb 1.1 Hub.

Kid Tough Digital camera is not being recognized on my computer

The camera should not need software to connect to the computer. It should be "Plug & Play". Try plugging the camera into a different USB port (look on the back of the computer). The software is only needed to customize the pictures. Ensure the camera is turned on after plugging in the USB cable. If no result, open the Control Panel and look at the Scanners and Camera settings.
If you know how to view the devices using Device Manager, open it and look for any yellow highlighted icons. If you have any highlighted icons, then that is where the trouble lies.

I don't know how old it is, but i would take the camera back to the store to try it on one of their computers. Just to rule out your computer settings. The store should have no problems; thinking if it doesn't work the salesman may get an easy sale out of you. Camera does need to be turned 'on' and in the correct mode for the computer to see it. If the computer never recognized the camera, you can download the camera's driver off the internet first.

Good luck

Windows XP won't recognize the device when it's connected via USB

Im not sure what you are refering for device driver ...but ..if you plug the camera with the card in ...using a usb cable ...the xp will see the SD card into the my computer folder like a removable storage device ...and you will be able to get picture from it ...by copy ..paste ...this is the easiest way ..
also if you plug the card directly into a card reader will be the same ..
if you are refering in this thread that your computer do not see the camera at all ..try to change the usb port ..with one in the back ...cause it may require a 2.0 usb and this is the reason that is not seeing it ...also ...may try ..(for to be sure the camera is communicating with the computer ) to plug the camera ...and start the add new hardware from the control panel ( if it do not start itself ..)
than let it find it and install it automatically ...insert the driver disk if it asks..but if you ran it before it will be not needed..

Windows doesn's recognize camera, device manager says no driver

Hi -

Have you tried another USB port? Sometimes, they can act goofy.
Also be sure your anti-virus isn't blocking any part of the installation.

Here is a link to the Samsung troubleshooting guide for your camera.
You can probably download the most recent driver from that website as well.
Perhaps they have a better or newer version than what came prepackaged
with the camera (just because a camera is a new purchase does not mean
the software it came with is the most updated).

I run WinXP home edition, so I am not familiar if there are any differences in the professional version regarding software installation....

Good luck!

You may need to get the new WIA (Windows Image Acquisition) drivers. When you connect a digital camera to any laptop that runs WinXP, the OSmay not recognize the camera. If you download and install new drivers from the Web site, you receive the following error message when WinXP tries to detect the camera: "Windows image acquisition service error system cannot find file specified ‘imaging'." To fix this problem, you must first remove all current related camera drivers and reinstall the updated drivers.

Connecting OPtio S4i to PC

After formatting my PC to upgrade it I've been unable to install the USB driver software to save pictures from my Tentax OPtio S4i to my PC.

My computer isn't recognising my camera when I plug it into the USB port.

When I've tried to install the Driver using the disk I got with my camera, at the stage where it asks me to MODIFY REPAIR or REMOVE, the software I get the following showing up on display boxes:
