Yes, SDHC memory cards are compatible with the Canon Powershot A700, so that means you can use card with capacities over 2GB. You can also see the manual to verify this, Canon Powershot A700 Manual. On page 8, it says that SDHC memory cards are compatible.

- Oh, sorry, this camera does not support SDHC, I mistakenly thought it was an A710, but sadly it is not. The information would be true if it were an A710 though.Yes
