Try going to the web site of the company that made your printer and get the print drivers for your machine that way, it will also allow you to get the most updated ones:) Drivers are normally free.

Go to Kodak's web site (here) and download the driver for your Operating System.

...and while you're on it: download the firmware as well (if you need to update it) and save a copy of the manual on your computer. That might come handy anytime...;-)

Ok try to hook and see if the system install it without a installation disk.

If this not resolve, then you have to find driver at lexmark websites.

Yes you install without the disk ,first you need to click here
then type X1240 you get option lexmark X1240 ...and then choose the OS and download the driver file and install in on your computer ......

there is no way you can install the printer to your computer without the installation disk of the printer. printer is a hardware device that requires a driver in order to work for a certain computer.
