Question about HP LightScribe dvd640i (DVD640I) DVD±RW Dual Layer Burner
Just bought a new lite on burner and it works great burning a normal dvd but when trying to burn a dual layer dvd it gets to about 50% and then stops...is this a problem with the actual unit or maybe i dont have the settings correct.. anyone have a clue.. also would it have anything to do with slave and master selection..any help please I have the same problem with my HP LightScribe dvd640i DVD±RW Dual. I tried differenet media brands (Verbatim, memorex, fujifilm...), different applications (Nero, DVDfab, ImgBurn) the result is the same: it writes first layer and then stops at about 50% with a write error. No problems with the regular single layer DVDs. I would really appreciate if anyone can help with this problem.
My nero is dont read DVD please me

This is in no way a proper technical answer, but certain DVD burners like specific brands of media, I have heard this for years and it's true, but you seem to have tried several types of media brands. I would try a -R, from Verbatum, if that doesn't work take it back and try a different model, you have done everything that you are supposed to.I found that the -R works best for me in my desktop and laptop, one is Lightscribe other is not, the -R works best for me.
