Miele W1119 not cleaning white clothes properly

I have been having problems get my white clothes clean. I tried using the 'Extra White' function but it didn't work. I was then told to try the 'Sanitize' function but that didn't work either. I was told to stop using liquid fabric softener. Still nothing. Then these mysterious stains starting appearing on my clothes, especially on my husbands t-shirts. I have tried adding non-chlorine bleach or borax in my attempt to get these stains out. My whites look dirtier than when they went in the wash. This morning 5/11/07, I was told by a Miele rep. to try using 1 teaspoon of liquid 'Sunlight dish detergent' in an empty machine 'to clean out any gunk in the machine'. Then I should do a white wash and see what happens. I never had any of these problems with my top loader machine. Can you help me?

My clothes are coming out the machines dirtier than it went in. I have ran a 90 wash with a small amount of bleach in but this does not appear to have worked.

Liquid detergent is a pain and not as good as powder. liquid detergent often makes machine smell as well i doubt there is a fault with the machine. try putting on a boil wash with no clothes and this will clear out the slime left behind by the liquid detergent. you didn't say what colour the stains are but iy grey or brown it could be from your water supply - a more common problem than you might think. turn off water and remove the supply hose. there should be a gauze filter at one end and make sure not clogged with dirt. also look into the spigot of the vavle and see if any muck there.

How to clean white shoes properly?

Cleaning white shoes can help maintain their appearance and keep them looking fresh. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to clean white shoes properly:

Materials you'll need:

1. Mild soap or detergent

2. Soft brush or toothbrush

3. White vinegar or baking soda (optional)

4. Water

5. Clean cloth or sponge

6. Old newspapers or paper towels

Steps:

1. Remove Loose Dirt:

Knock your shoes together or use a brush to remove loose dirt and debris. You can also use a soft cloth to wipe away any surface dirt.

2. Remove Laces:

Take off the shoelaces. You can either clean them separately or replace them if they are too dirty or worn.

3. Pre-treat Stains:

If there are stubborn stains, pre-treat them with a mixture of water and a small amount of mild soap or detergent. You can also use a paste made from baking soda and water for tougher stains.

4. Soak Laces:

If you removed the laces, soak them in a mixture of warm water and mild soap. You can also add a bit of baking soda or white vinegar to help with stains. After soaking, scrub them with a brush or toothbrush, rinse, and let them air dry.

5. Wash Shoes:

Mix warm water with a small amount of mild soap or detergent. Use a soft brush or toothbrush to scrub the shoes gently. Pay extra attention to stained or dirty areas. Be careful not to use a brush with stiff bristles, as it may damage the shoe material.

6. Rinse Thoroughly:

Wipe off any soap or detergent with a clean, damp cloth or sponge. Make sure to remove all residue.

7. Dry Properly:

Stuff your shoes with crumpled newspaper or paper towels to help them retain their shape and absorb moisture. Let them air dry in a well-ventilated area. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as this can cause the shoes to yellow.

8. Clean Soles:

Clean the soles of your shoes separately. You can use an old toothbrush or a small brush to scrub away dirt and grime. A mixture of water and mild soap or a specialized sole cleaner can be effective.

9. Protect and Maintain:

Consider applying a stain and water repellent spray to protect your white shoes from future stains. Regularly clean your shoes to prevent dirt buildup.

10. Polish (for Leather Shoes):

If your white shoes are made of leather, you can use a white shoe polish to restore their shine. Make sure to follow the instructions on the polish container.

Remember, prevention is key. Try to avoid wearing your white shoes in muddy or extremely dirty conditions, and clean them regularly to keep them looking their best.

My miele w3033 has mold in the rubber gasket. wha...

hi,

you can purchase a cleaning product to run through the machine but white vinegar on a 95c wash also works.don't put any clothes in it though. if it has eaten into the door seal too much you can easily have them replaced. always leave the door open after each wash for about half an hour to let it dry out otherwise a damp environment is perfect for bacteria to develop. lots of hot washes and the door open prevents this.

When I use my self-cleaning on my oven it leaves a brown stain on the white plastic part outside my oven door. How do I clean the area that has browned?

Hello- The self-clean cycle heats the inside up to about 800deg. There is no existing plastic that can take the heat at the vent w/out discoloring. The stain is from the smoke produced when the stuff on the drip pan incinerates. Try some oxy-clean and a damp cloth. Try to predict or minimize spills with foil and drip pans. Techs call 'self-clean' the 'self-destruct' cycle. Using this function will reduce the life expectancy of any electric range. Let me know if this info helps-have more if needed- Thanks- ED

My Miele Touchtronic W1119 shows the error message Drain/Intake Fault. The intake and filters are fine. What's going on?There is no water standing in the drum. How can I reset this?

Hello Buvamo,
You may want to check the water valve and make sure it is all the way up where the intake line is.
The other area to check for water not draining is the lint trap. While the intake/drain fault is on the door will not open for the lint trap.
There is a release lever at the bottom of the machine (Orange in color) that is below and behind the trap door. Just pull down on the lever and that will open the trap door. You may want to put a towel under there as it will leak once the door is opened. inspect and clean the trap and try running cycle again
