I was getting a new debit card and the first registration did not work and I was asked to redo it, however it showed that the email account I put down was already taken (well of course it was taken by me -I've had it for a year) anyway I created a new account quickly in hopes that this would fix the problem HOWEVER I have now lost my original yahoo email account for which I get all my email from friends, family, job searches etc. Is this (my old email account) just gone ? Please help..everytime I try to access it-it just says that it does not exist

Well, the first thing you can try is to contact yahoo and explain what happened and ask them if they can reactivate your yahoo account at least so you can get all of your emails and contacts off the account.

Reactivate a deleted Yahoo account Has your account been closed, and you'd like to use it again? There's a possibility you can reactivate it. Review the steps below.
  1. On a desktop or laptop computer, sign in to your Yahoo account.
  2. Confirm your Yahoo ID and complete the CAPTCHA verification.
  3. Select Reactivate.
It may take up to 24 hours for your request to process. Any lost account data, like emails and contacts, cannot be recovered.
Recovery is not possible if:
  • The account was deactivated due to a violation of the Terms.
  • The account was deleted due to inactivity (you must sign-in at least once every 12 months).

I don't want the account anymore !

When you no longer need your Yahoo account, you may decide to delete the account so you will stop receiving Yahoo email and your personal information will be deleted from the website.
Closing your account deletes your membership at all other Yahoo services as well, including Flickr, Monster, Yahoo Groups and Finance Portfolio.
If you are sure you want to cancel your email and delete your Yahoo account, you can do so by visiting the account deletion page.

Open your Web browser and navigate to the account-deletion page on the Yahoo website.
Log in with your username and password.
Verify that the user ID at the top of the page is correct and review the information on the page below, which explains how to end certain paid services, such as subscriptions, the various services that will end when you delete your Yahoo account, and the terms governing your account deletion.
Confirm your identity by entering your password once more in the blank field below "Are you sure you want to terminate your Yahoo! Account?"
Type the security code displayed in the generated box to verify that you are human and wish to delete your account.
Click "Terminate this account."

I cant reactivate my account

Hi

If you just stopped using it then all you have to do is contact yahoo to reactivate it. Your data will not be there but your contacts will.
If your account was deleted because of violations you will have to appeal and see if you win. If you do then yahoo will restore your account.

Ufurtunatility,we cannot reactivate you accont because is diseable

For whatever reason, Yahoo has disabled your account, most likely since you violated their Terms and Conditions.

You'll probably have to open up a new account. Before that you should also try contacting them directly and asking to reactivate it.

Good luck!

I can't get my mail from yahoo.

You might be given a penalty from yahoo 'cause you have violate yahoo's terms and conditions of service....if that's just a penalty then you can wait for the penalty to expire but if that's a permanent, yahoo might have canceled your email account already...either of the things, we have nthing to do with it..only yahoo can solved that and it is out of our reach cause that's their way of service...next time you signup for an account read the terms and conditions first to avoid such problems you are experiencing right now.....
