Hello,

It sounds like the software may be corrupt. I would initially start by disconnecting the cables from the printer and restarting the computer. After that is finished, I would suggest removing all printer related software from Add/Remove programs in the Control Panel. After that I would suggest downloading the latest drivers by following the directions below.

You should be able to get the drivers here. Just enter your exact printer model in the Search by printer model field and press Enter.

Click the Download Driver link and choose your operating system in the Select Windows field. Then on the next page, choose the Download Now link on the right.

On the next page you may see a yellow security banner at the top of the browser. If so, click it and choose Download File. After that, choose Save to start the download. After the download completes you can double click the file to start the installation.

Hope this helps. Please remember to rate this information.

My Brother HL-2240 my printer started going crazy, printing one page over and over . . . well over 20 by the time I took action. I am not sure what I did to trigger that, but I couldn't figure

If there's an icon in the tray area that looks like a printer, double-click it to open, and click Printer, Cancel all documents. You might study the entries first to see why so many were printed. No icon? Open Control Panel, Printer, and double-click the printer for the same program.

Unable to view ink levels on my HP F4180

Please check the following steps:

1. Check the back of your computer to make sure that the printer is connected to the computer and is plugged in. If the printer is not plugged into the computer, find the printer jack on the back of the computer and plug it in before you move on to the next step.
2. Click on the "Start" menu button. Click on the control panel icon
3. Look for the printer/fax icon in the control panel window. Double click on the printer icon.
4. Find the icon for your printer in the opened window and right click on the icon. Now click on the "Preferences" option.
5. Look for the menu box pop up with tabs near the top of the box. Click on the "Services" tab.
6. Click on "Service this device." You will find the button on the Services menu that you just activated.
7. Click on the estimated ink level tab and a graphic will appear indicating how much ink is left in the cartridge.

Go to Printer in the menu bar of the pop-up window and uncheck "Use Printer Offline." This action will change the printer from offline to online.
Open the Start menu and click on the "Printers and Faxes" icon. This will open a window with a list of the printers currently set up on your computer.

There's a small chance this might be your fix.

Hope this helps!

    I have an HP Officejet 6310 All-in-One printer. I

Open the HP Photosmart Software on a Windows computer
    1. Do one of the following:
    – On the Windows desktop, double-click the HP Solution Center icon.
    – In the system tray at the far right of the Windows taskbar, double-click the
    HP Digital Imaging Monitor icon.
    – On the taskbar, click Start, point to Programs or All Programs, select HP,
and then click HP Solution Center.
    2. If you have more than one HP device installed, select the HP All-in-One tab.
Note On a Windows computer, the features available in the HP Solution
Center vary depending on the devices you have installed. The HP Solution
Center is customized to display icons associated with the selected device. If
the selected device is not equipped with a particular feature, then the icon for
that feature does not display in the HP Solution Center.

From here, you can scan, make copies, and perform maintenance procedures such as checking the ink levels for the print cartridges.

Kodak 5300 all in one printer will not scan. Cannot get on line with 5300 a10 home center program, tells me printer is not connected

try to unplug replug the usb cable of the printer.

You may also go to control panel printer and faxes and look for the printer of your 5300 now if you see 2 icons delete them both then exit to printer and faxes. and unplug/replug your USB cable then restart computer.

If this issue not solve try to uninstall the software and download the clearutility kodak.com/go/clear. then after doing this restart computer.
