Yes you can, but if you try and view them on a camera, you will most likely get an error. You can use it with a USB card reader and have a protable drive that you can store just about anything as long as you do not fill it up.

you should be able as long as you have a scan disk reader. if your computer doesnt already have one you can buy one for really cheap.

Hi the picture on my monitor has gone very dark and weird. I have been told I can download an updated graphics card. Is this right?

driver not card , but yes you can download a better driver from the manufacture of the card, but if the monitor has gotten this way over time it might be that you need a new monitor,if you do not know what type of card you have . right click on my computer then properties then hardware tab ten device manager button . Go down the list till you find display adapter click on that and read the info it will have you card there. then google the name and use the info to find the right driver for your card .

How do I replace the video card on my emachine T6528

To replace the video card:

  1. Make sure everything is unplugged and computer is on a table. (Static is a bad thing)
  2. Remove the left side panel (should be 3 screws on the back)
  3. Panel usually slides back then pops off.
  4. Video card should be about halfway down.
  5. With the computer on it's side, remove the screw holding the old video card in.
  6. Pull the old card out. (might be a tab at the base of card)
  7. Put new card in. (Careful not to push too hard)
  8. Make sure all screws are put back in there proper place.
  9. Reconnect all cables. (Power cable should be last)
  10. Boot up the computer and install the drivers for the new card.
Now where's my $150???? LOL Kind of ridiculous what they charge for simple tasks. I'm not sure, but I think this voids the warranty on emachines?

Installation Woes!

You may have two problems (interrelated are always messy and it's easy to get confused).
First I suggest you address the USB problem...delete the device and restart your machine. Have the mobo cd handy. When the plug and play routine starts first try pointing it to everywhere but the may get lucky and find it at Microsoft or somewhere on your machine already.

Secondly use windows explorer and delete any folder that contained installation information about the "green box up101",

Next create a clean this (and you may think it's unnecessary) first run either AVG or Avast on your entire computer, next get rid of malware and even some trojans not detectable by these programs...use SPYBOT, next use Ccleaner to both get rid of junk and registry leftovers...use both the application and windows cleaning functions (don't check the uninstall box section or uncheck if it's checked), next try Wise Registry cleaner (just fix the green items). Now run a thorough scandisk. All the programs are free off the net....cnet downloads or freewarefiles as example locations. Why did I put you through all of this....because if it doesn't work when you now attempt to reinstall we at least know that other stuff is not doing to you.

This process should result in success unless the hardware is bad....(doubtful based on what you have stated). Hope this helps....have fun for a couple of hours and don't stay awake for the thorough scandisk process. Tango.
