LG Tromm DLE Dryer never dries my clothes when the cycle is done

We have had the LG dryer for 2 years now - warranty is out. Every time the cycle is completed I have to run the cycle again. I have cleaned the lint line in the house. Changed the connecting line from the dryer to the lint line. I have decreased the loads. Nothing seems to work. Even when I choose the anti bacterial setting my towels will still be wet after over an hour and a half of drying. I am quite frustrated. My old dryer worked better than this!! I guess it is my own fault for waiting until my year of warranty was up to figure out there indeed was a problem.

Thanks for the quick response. I will try it with my next load. If it is just the spinning on my LG washer how do I know if they have come out well spun? My clothes are not dripping wet ....

Great thanks. I will let you know what happens. I have disconnected the ducting from the back of the dryer and am drying some clothes now.

Well, still no luck. I did notice that in the back of the dryer there is a grade looking thing? It looks almost like it is discolored in the center - like maybe burned a bit. This grade is to the right of the back of the dryer. I did choose extra hight on my spin cycle for my next load that I am doing now.

Thank you Tom. I guess we will have to break down and call the professionals!! I tried cleaning out but nothing came out all was clean. I think it may be electonic as well. That's what I get for waiting!!

Check to make sure the problem does not come from your wash machine. If it is not properly wringing out your clothes the dryer will not be efficient.
Also, Take the lint trap on the door and wash it in the sink with some dish soap and a soft bristled brush, Make sure water can run throught it. Even if you clean your dryer vent and take the lint off the one in the machine, residue builds on the lint filter. You can not even see it. Try an easy test by running running water through it, if it pools up on the surface of the lint filter, you know it needs to be cleaned.

Clothes aren't getting dry

Check your vent hose and where it exits the building, clean away all lint anything blocking the vent cap or in the vent hose. Remove the vent from the back of the dryer and make sure it is all clean and clear there and make sure the betn is not kinked up when putting the dryer back into it space. Now before you blow me off, if any of this is true for your dryer the heat will build up and trip the thermostat causing it not to heat properly and the blower wheel can not move the air to collect the moisture and remove it from inside the dryer. Also, any sagging vent line can collect moisture which turns to a puddle of water in the line and this to will not allow your dryer to dry the clothes. Good luck I hope I have helped you.

My LG Tromm DLE5955W dryer has great airflow and heating but about 2 months after I bought it, it now takes 2 hours to dry a load of clothes. I have vaccumed it out and replaced the vent house already with...

You have a problem with the exhaust vent in the house walls. Try this. Disconnect the dryer vent hose from the back of the dryer and see how well it dries a load of laundry. If it comes out alright, then you know that the vent in the house is clogged and will need to be professionally cleaned out. Good luck

There is a restriction in the dryer venting system. If the moisture is not removed from the dryer thru the moisture vent then the clothes will get hot but not dry. You will need to remove the vent hose at the back of the dryer and look inside the vent pipe and see if it is restricted with lint. You might need to reach up inside the vent with your hand and pull out the lint. Also some of the newer dryers have a fan assisted venting system and if the fan stops working that can cause this issue.

Washer-dryer # wm3677HW will not dry, heats up, run, on and on

You're a moron. This unit washes and dries. That's the whole point of it. Perhaps you should do some research before answering the question. the most likely cause is the water lever sensor.

I have exactly the same problem!

Try using the tub clean cycle and use a good dose of bleach or vinegear. Here is how to run the tub clean cycle.

To start the TUB CLEAN cycle:
1. Remove any clothing or items from the washer and close the door.
2. Open the dispenser drawer and add liquid chlorine bleach to the bleach compartment.
NOTE: Do not add any detergent to the detergent compartments. Excessive suds may be produced and leak
from the washer.
3. Close the dispenser drawer slowly.
4. Power On and then press the Extra Rinse button for 3 seconds. (Prewash option will be selected.)
5. Press the Start/Pause button to start.
6. After the cycle is complete, leave the door open to dry around the washer door opening, door seal and
door glass.
