Try pressing F8 on startup, and see if system starts on safe mode. If it does do a system restore to a date before having the problem.
If this does not work, then try reinstalling Windows. If you do a full installation you may lose your data, see if you can do an update installation, or install without formatting the hard drive.
If you cannot reinstall windows, that means that the fault is hardware.
Start testing the laptop with one memory stick only, or replacing RAM with compatible one.
If all that diod not work, then the laptop must be sent in for repairs.
