Question about Cuisinart Cup-O-Matic SS-1 Coffee Maker
My Cup-o-matic acts like it's warming up and getting ready to brew, but it ends up just beeping with the on/off button flashing. It has happened periodically before, but I could always get it working. The little float in the reservoir isn't stuck (it's floating), so I don't think it's mistakenly thinking there's no water. The coffee/pod holder is also pushed all of the way in. Anything else I can check?
I called Cusinart support and they told me to fill with 2 cups of white vinegar and the rest water, let set for three hours. Did that. Had to keep hitting the on button to get this solution through. Then used a solution of one cup of vinegar and water and this ran through the whole cycle. Ran three more with just water and now it works just fine. Brewed coffee this morning with no problem. Didn't think this would work but seems to have solved the problem. They do suggest you decalcify once a month using the vinegar solution...hope I remember to do this as it would be a lot easier than having to get hitting the on button. Good luck!

I had the same problem, only this happened on the last 3 dcc-2000 I purchased. I called customer service today, and they informed me that there is a 3 year warranty on this product. Wow... This time they really helped. I have made 2 phone calls to customer service, and was put on hold for over 20min. each time they found out what machine I was calling about. Call customer service, and don't give up!
the number is 1-800-726-0190. you will need the serial # from the bottom of the unit (stamped in) and the model #.
good luck! Bob

Turn the function knob to Auto Off
Hold down the hour button til you see the clock display blinking
you can then use the Hour and Minute buttons to program how long you want the coffee maker to stay on.
You can choose from 0 minutes (seems to be what you have it set on now) to 4 hours.

Replacement time. a certain percentage of thse have this problem. There is a small, non-replaceable tube in the inside toward the bottom that has become melted/damaged.
