Question about Casio Parts Cash Register PC Desktop

I am trying to program the tax rate on my casio pcr 265p register but it keeps reading way above the tax rate I enter. It is for Texas 8.25%, when I enter 12.99 and add tax it shows 15.20 which is not 8.25% tax rate which keep entering

Sounds like a programming problem, or could be that the register is keeping too many entries and not replacing an old entry, just adding onto it and giving you more than 8.25%.

800-638-9228 is the toll-free Programming Assistance number from the manual, page 7, since it's toll-free they would be the best option.

try PROGRAM mode enter 1 press subtotal then 0 press cash tender then press subtotal and also try program mode enter 3 press subtotal enter press 0 then press cash tender then press subtotal

Casio PCR-T280 Help with Taxes and Departments.


In department programming, there is an option to turn on or off each tax. You need to turn off tax1 and turn on tax2 (if that is the one you have programmed for the rate you need). Just look up the tables for tax rate and department programming in the manual.
