Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

How much ink does it use to print pictures

Roughly 20 cents per picture, depending on ink coverage density and paper cost

OR

look in the internet how much cost the ink or toner for it and
how many page in average con you print with them, that will
give you an average cost per page,

HP all-in-one F380 only prints top half of the page, and sometimes that is pretty faded. What to do?

Replace the ink-cartridges, because they are just about empty.
When ink is pulled from the cartridge, there is just enough ink to print a "low-density" page,
or a few lines of text, but there's not enough ink to "freely" flow, on demand, to ink a full page.

My Epson T13 Printer Black Ink 75% is finish But Print Out only 13 so why black ink is 75% finished.

It depends on the percentage coverage you applied to the paper. Inkjets use a tremendous amount of ink and the cartridges are not very page. Also, the indicator is only their estimate of the remaining ink and not very accurate. Carry on printing until you see the print losing density, you may be surprised how much you can still print, but avoid printing pages that have a high ink coverages, these cost mega bucks.

My phaser 740 has print that flakes off when you print pictures with real dark areas. I assume it needs more fuser heat or less paper speed. The problem is I can' t figure out how to adjust either of these...

Recalibrate the colors. Flaking is sometimes caused by more ink/toner than can be fused to the media. There's a limit for the total amount of ink/toner. Yours may be set too high.
You'll need a copy of the Printer's User's Guide (also Downloadable from Xerox.com)

Controlling Color Density

When colors look faded, adjust the toner color density to extend the life of the components.

Print and use the Color Reference Page 1 In the printer's front panel, scroll to Calibrate Colors,

press Menu and print the Color Reference Page. 2 Compare the Color Reference Page to the Color Density

Samples on page 39. Make a note of the value (-10 to +10) for each color that most closely matches the samples.

3 Adjust the density for each color: Enter the value noted in Step 2 in the Calibrate Colors menu, under Adjust Each Color.

? Decrease color density: Press . ? Increase color density: Press --->.

4 Reprint the Color Reference Page; check your adjustments

My printer prints fine, but how can I make it print darker. It seems to have gotten much lighter and the ink is relatively new.

There should be a button on the top that says lighter/darker, move it 2 clicks to the right for more ink to be used..... please let me know if there is anything else you need, happy to help! Guy :)

The copies look faded out as if a new toner is needed, but I just changed the image drum and the toner cartridge

It could be that the print density setting is set too low. Adjust to higher density printing.

If the ink of the toner is not well distributed, remove the cartridge toner from the printer. Shaking it to redistribute toner more evenly will help..

Reset the printer
On the printer press the menu button until you reach MAINT.
Then press the item + button until you reach DRUM CT RESET. Then press select.

That will fix it.
Thank you for using Fixya

Uneven printing]

Your cartridge is not able to supply that density of ink for that number of lines of solid color.

Could be any of the following:
1. Dirt in the cartridge
2. Low ink level
3. Bad ink in a refilled cartridge

Solution:
1. Print 1 copy in "draft" mode to see if cartridge can keep up. If so, it is simply ink supply... Replace cartridge, refill cartridge.

2. Run the "Clean" maintenance routine before trying to print a strong demand image.

3. Replace the printer for a quality image device (laser is best, all others are less). Good quality HP is better in inkjets. Decent Lexmark is fair - but VERY expensive to own/run/maintain. Kodak is cheap enough to buy and keep filled. Reliability is a potential problem...

Hope this provides some useable insight. -Jim

I am getting unwanted black stripes when i do colour-printing. on my old pc i used to be able to clean/test the printing head but i dont have that facility now & can't see it on the net. any tips...

First run a cleaning cycle and test print. You can get this from Control Panel - Printers - Select Printer name and right click - select Properties and then Maintenance.

Then

1. Select Normal or Best, rather than Draft, in the Paper Type/Quality option in the Page Setup Screen.
2. Align the print cartridges. Select the Calibrate panel on the HP deskjet utility screen, then click the Align button.
3. Decrease ink density or drying time.
a. Click File > Print > Paper Type/Quality.
b. Click the Ink tab.
c. Use the sliders to adjust ink density and ink dry time.
