first u need a set of RCA cables,u can pick them up at any car audio shop, plug them into the audio outputs on the back of the radio, run the other to the audio inputs on your amp, from there jus plug the speaker wire into the speaker output on amp then to your speakers.

Were do i plug in the RCA cables from the amp to a factory radio? do i need any sort of adapters if my stereo dose not have inn or outputs? and where do i hook up the remote from the amp?

Most factory radios do not have RCA outs, but most will have a remote wire. Usually used for a power antenna option. Your remote wire from the amp could be hooked to the power antenna wire on the factory radio and it would work great for turning on the amp. As for the RCA inputs on your amp, you will not be able to use them without RCA outs on your factory deck. Although most amps offer a high level input alternative and will use the standard speaker level out on your factory deck. This means the rear channel speaker wires from your factory deck will be used to feed the signal to the amp. You will have to check the instructions and manufactorer recomendations for the amp you are trying to hook up. Have fun and good luck!

I wanna equalizer a jensen 760 but i can`t can you tell me how can i do?

Hello, if you want to put an equalizer on an amp then I would suggest you get a preamp style equalizer, non powered of course, take the rca output whichever one you want to use and conect it to the input on the equalizer. Then take the output from the equalizer and hook it up to the input on your amp. That's it. Most equalizers also have sub outputs, make sure you hook the correct output from the equalizer up to your amp. Also most have 3 outputs depending on the type you have. If you need more help just let me know, good luck

No rcas inputs on amp

Hello sting_ya_sco,

The ACAP501Q has 2 sets of of RCA jacks. The first set is input and 2nd preamp outputs. The jacks are factory covered with plastic protectors. Just pull the protectors off and plug in the cables.

Hope this helps.

RCA CABLES

RCA cables are the best way to get the audio from your head unit to the amp. If your head unit doesn't have RCA outputs, you might be able to use the speaker outputs of the head unit to connect to the "high power" or "high level" inputs of the amp, if the amp has such inputs (check your manual).

Factory stero to amp

If the amplifier has inputs for a high level signal, you unhook the wires going into the speaker and plug them into the amp, then hook the outputs up to the speakers. If the amp only has rca inputs, you need to also buy a line level converter. Then you unhook the speakers, hook the wires up the the converter, then hook the converter up to the amp, then hook the amp up to the speakers.

Please leave good feedback!

How to connect 2 Amps for my car audio system

Hi,

Based on your post, you actually have 2 concerns:
1. Power - Normally this is the +12V straight from the battery + terminal. If the existing power wire from the battery to your old amplifier is capable of carrying the combined current (in Amps) of the current + the new, then it is simply running an extension of the B+ line (usually big red wire) from the old amp to the new amp. The negative/ground is simply connecting to the chassis/exposed metal part of the vehicle.
On the other hand, if the old amplifier uses a rather not so big wire to supply it from the battery, you are better running another bigger wire from the same battery terminal to the new amplifier.
You have to check how much current the amp will draw from the battery and select a wire that is capable of carrying that much current without heating up. Offhand a #8 AWG would suffice for most single amp.

2. "Where does the Line cables go?" If you are referring to the Line INputs of your new amp, they maybe connected to the RCA OUTput (line level) of the old amp (it it's got one). Alternately, if the old amp has only INputs and your new amp has both INputs and OUTputs, remove the RCA connection to the old amp and plug them in to the new amp. Thereafter connect another pair of RCA male cables from the output of the new amp to the inputs of the old amp.
If neither of the new or the old amps has an OUTput RCA female, you may need to use a splitter of some sort. Below is an image of a two female RCA to a single RCA male.
b6f5283.jpg
You can hook it up in many ways. The simplest would be to remove your existing RCA connection to the old amp, plug in the double female/1male to the INput of your old amp. Connect the cable from the head unit to one of the female RCA. Connect another pair to the other female and the other end to the input of the new amp.

Hope that this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turned out or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

they are to adjust output levels. yes you can hook up the sub to the amp. it is not wise to hook up the front speakers with the sub though. just get a less powered amp to drive the front speakers.
