Lexmark X8350 can't delete from Print spool

I have the same problem since I got the Printer in June 2006 and used it with the Vista application. I have tried deleting to clear the print job from
C://Window/System 32/Spool/Printer and deleting LXM from the processor in Task Manager, and unplugging the USB and rebooting and waiting patiently.
I have tried the Lemark x 8350 from my HP, Gateway and Toshiba. It just doesn't sync up.
The only thing that does work is turning off the computer for hours and waiting for the back up to the home server to run and complete. Then turn it back on.
Lexmark should refund every one for these faulting computers. It takes more time to troubleshoot then it does working.
I agree....its unlikely this printer will ever work properly in vista.

Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
