Question about Coby DVD-209

Disk rotating and a message "invalid disk"

I have coby dvd 283 player , i don't know why it is not playing ..........when i start the power button and insert disk , then on my tv on right hand upper side of the tv only a picture of the disk rotating round is seen .................pls help me out what shall i do When I insert a disk, the "spinning disk" (disk reading) icon comes up in the upper right hand corner of the TV screen, and stays there for a long time. Sometimes the disk actually starts for a bit, but then freezes (this may actually repeat several times), and eventually, the screen always goes black and comes up with "Invalid Disk." I'm using a DVD that I know played before on this player, and still plays on all of my other players, so it's not the disk format or a problem with the disk itself -- something has gone wrong with the player.

Unfortunately, this "solution" reminds me of the punchline of an old joke. A hot-air balloonist is lost in the fog near Seattle, and he floats up to a large building. He writes on a piece of paper and holds it up to the window, "Where am I?" Someone in the building writes back, "You're in a hot air balloon!" The balloonist writes back, "Thanks, I must be outside the Microsoft building, and you must work for MS customer support, because your solution was TECHNICALLY CORRECT, BUT UTTERLY USELESS."
Do your players have some sort of time-bomb that sabotages them after 90 days? It's a freekin' paperweight now, mate!

I work for Coby technical support. Our customer service phone number is 1-800-727-3592.

If the unit is showing "invalid disk" on every disk that you try to play, unfortunately, the unit has developed a defect and needs to be replaced. Our warranty is 90 days from the date of purchase. If you've had the player longer than 90 days, I regret to inform you it is out of warranty.

If you feel this solution doesn't deserve a good rating, please let me know why so that I may better assist you. If there is anything more I can do to help, I will!

SOURCE: disk rotating and a message "invalid disk"

Try to use a different dvd because that one might not have been burned or made in the right format. If that doesn't work, then try blowing on the laser just in case there is dust on the lens causing it not to read the dvd properly. If that doesn't work, then you might need a new dvd player.

Coby DVD shows Invalid Disc HELP PLEASE

Did you make the disk if you made the disk your computer has to give it a digital signature so the DVD player can read it if you're using a regular DVD then I would very carefully using rubbing alcohol and Q tip clean the actual laser I would be very careful doing this if too much rubbing alcohol is on the Q tip it will ruin the laser you can also try resetting the DVD player by taking out the battery and unplugging it from any power source and leave it that way for at least 20 seconds to a minute if that doesn't work you might have something else wrong

Disk rotating and a message "invalid disk"

you can try manually cleaning the laser lens ( gently wipe , do not press down hard , it is suspended by fine wires ) using a q-tip and a drop of that cleaning solution you got with the laser lens disc. ( fluff another q-tip a little ) then dry wipe it with another q-tip and try a disc.
you can look at the laser lens and see if you see the laser come on also to determine if that is working ( do not look directly into the laser ! )
if the laser works but it still does not read discs after cleaning it manually , then there is a problem with the focus coil on the laser or the signal board is bad
