Oven lights but doesnt stay lit. Does anyone know what the problem could be and how to remedy it?

Safety valve failure. (TURN OFF GAS, then do as follows): Check voltage when the stove is "on" at the safety valve. If it reads 24 volts, then the safety valve is bad. If it reads _less_ than 24 volts, then the ignitor is bad (EVEN IF it is glowing red). The problem is that the ignitors can glow red, but still "eat" so much voltage that the safety valve fails to open (or stay open). It is a "resistance" problem inside the ignitor, even through it appears to be good. // Simply stated: 24 volts at the safety valve means bad safety valve. Less than 24 volts at the safety valve means bad ignitor. (I am certain of this information).

I plug my gas stove in and the display says bad line and beeps steady

"bad line" error means the control panel is not seeing a proper voltage to the oven. Have the power connections checked with a voltmeter all the way to the control panel. If voltage is present, you may need a new control. 25316221-dz1fkxf1fwolart5ai0divhk-4-0.jpg

WhatdoesPFstandforondiplay

PF is power failure. usually touchin a pad will clear this. if it is popping up and you havent had a power outage,. there may be a bad connection in your power line to the stove or a bad connection on the control itself.

Drop in kenmore range cuts off after a minute and F-2 or F-3 comes up on display.

Hello,

The F2 code means that the oven overheated by at least 100degrees(a bad sensor will cause that)
the F3 means that the oven sensor is shorted,so both of them are consistiant with defective oven tempature sensor and the sensor should be replaced.

The oven sensor is a pictured here oldtech2332_134.jpg
It is located in the oven baking chamber and can be replaced by unscrewing the screws from the bracket at the end of,pull it out unplug it,then reverse that process to install the new one.
With 2 different codes pointing to a bad sensor its apretty safe bets its bad.

Oven keeps beeping with code F 10. what does that mean?

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. F10 error in your Kenmore means temperature runaway. This issue is caused due to failed oven temperature sensor and/or the control board that has gone bad. To check what has gone bad you’ll need to take off the rear panel off the oven and test the sensor which is located behind this panel. If the reading is more then 1100ohms then it should be replaced, if the sensor tests fine then it is the control board that has gone bad and should be replaced. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Oven will not ignite glow plug an orange color

Just because the igniter is glowing doesn't mean it isn't bad. You also have a safety valve at the bottom rear of the oven that could be bad. If the igniter doesn't get hot enough to ignite the gas the safety valve will not let the gas in. If you don't have a separate broiler from the oven, check and see if broil works if so then its the "glow plug".

Hope this helps and good luck.

Ge oven codes

F2 means your oven temp got too high. At least, that's what the control boards thinks. More than likely you have a bad oven sensor or bad wire to it or a bad connection somewhere between the board and sensor.

One of my Whirlpool stove burner is not working

Peace
ngfam1 at your service,
If it's gas!!!!!!!!
1-What's the model # ?
2- How old is it ?
3-Is it one burner that does not work?

If you mean one gas burner is not working!

Sounds like a bad igniter or a clogged gas line leading to that igniter!
You may have spilled something or boiled over and clogged the burner!
If you have sealed burners , the cap and burner should lift off.
And the channels in the lift off burner if they are clogged may be cleaned and remedy any spill blocking the gas passage ways.

I am not there to give hands on diagnoses.

But I can give you a good service that is nation wide!
A&E Factory service .
They answer 24/7 to make appointments!
And have a reasonable service charge of $75 around our area

Remember though, if the unit is 10 years old or more it may not be advisable to put good money into bad!
New appliances are much more efficient and pay for them selves in only a few years!

Bless You,ngfam1

Oven not heating KitchenAid KERC506HWH3

Need to check and see if you are getting 220 volts to the element or if the element is showing resistance with an ohm meter. Any resistance means it is ok. If you are not getting voltage to the elements and resistance is ok then the control board is bad. Note: Always check outlet for proper voltage first! Never know when a breaker has gone bad. Should have 220 volts from line 1 to line 2 and 110 volts from line 1 or line 2 to ground.
