I'm having the same problem with the same TV that I bought my daughter for Christmas.
I haven't tried this myself yet, but it is suggested on another website that the TV is switching on to look for software updates during the night. Apparently you can switch the auto-update feature off, which fixes the issue.

3am is the freeview box update time it will do this every day at 3am the loud click you hear you should not hear it but it may be the update switch that turns the tv out of standby for the freeview to be updated its a different switch that turn this on and may be sticking.
I would look at the power supply, if you follow the mains lead wires it will go straight to the power supply . I would look for swollen capacitors , they will look a bit like small batteries. and the silver top should be flat (not domed) compare these components to each other if any are domed you should spot them easilly. Now what, this is the hard part, they nead replacing, you need to have used a soldering iron to remove these components. I had this fault in a friends tv, The components are quite cheap and availably on the internet but not a job for the novice, hope this helps pete
If you have sound, then your tv doesn't need tuning. Shine a bright light onto the screen, can you see a very dim picture? If so, your backlight has stopped working. This is almost always due to the inverters failing and can be repaired.
hello, if all your connected components and power sources are ok
then you may want to take it back for an exchange if it is possible.

your tv is in shutdown mode, a fualty power supply or internal board circut is cuasing your tv not to work.the tv needs service for internal circut trouble.
