I'm having the same problem with the same TV that I bought my daughter for Christmas.

I haven't tried this myself yet, but it is suggested on another website that the TV is switching on to look for software updates during the night. Apparently you can switch the auto-update feature off, which fixes the issue.

I have a 22" digihome LCD TV with built in DVD. At 3am every morning the DVD activates and buzzes away. The screen doesn't come on but there is a loud click as the speakers activate. How can I stop this...

3am is the freeview box update time it will do this every day at 3am the loud click you hear you should not hear it but it may be the update switch that turns the tv out of standby for the freeview to be updated its a different switch that turn this on and may be sticking.

Grundig TV turns itself on

Remove power for a day and see if the processor resets. It seems to be only due to the timer as the TV can be triggered only from the internal timer to power ON.Try and reset all the timer settings , switch power off completely and it must cancel all settings.

My goodmans tv switched itself off and won't work

Make sure that the electricity is working
Make sure that every connection is in place the
scart connection as well.
Disconnect and wait for 2-5 minutes
and connect and start.

If that does not work look for troubleshooing in the manual or click on the name of your TV here at the top of the page.
good luck

Hi, my Goodmans LCD TV keeps switching itself off, I have opened up the back panel, but do not now know what to do...any ideas?? Thank you!

I would look at the power supply, if you follow the mains lead wires it will go straight to the power supply . I would look for swollen capacitors , they will look a bit like small batteries. and the silver top should be flat (not domed) compare these components to each other if any are domed you should spot them easilly. Now what, this is the hard part, they nead replacing, you need to have used a soldering iron to remove these components. I had this fault in a friends tv, The components are quite cheap and availably on the internet but not a job for the novice,
hope this helps

I cannot tune my goodmans gtvl19w17hd tv

If you have sound, then your tv doesn't need tuning. Shine a bright light onto the screen, can you see a very dim picture? If so, your backlight has stopped working. This is almost always due to the inverters failing and can be repaired.
