Laptop Compaq Evo N620c screen gone tiny!

I dont know if I accidentally pressed a button or something but all of a sudden my dektop display had gone to about 3 inches in the middle of my screen with tiny icons, and the rest of the desktop was black.

I went into the display settings and changed it from 800x600 pixels to 1400x1050 pixels. This filled the screen but the icons are still tiny. Also when I am online the websites and text are much smaller.

Help please! Thank you :)

Download a sound driver into my compaq Evo N620c

You can download the drivers from the Compaq/HP WEB support/download page. Make sure you select your model laptop and the XP or Vista Windows version of the drivers you require and install them. Click on this link to download the drivers: -

Check your floppy drive and see if there's a disk in it and remove it. If there is no diskette in the floppy drive and you are still getting the error. You can go into the Bios and turn off the "boot from floppy drive", that way it will not look for the floppy drive when booting up. Hope this helps.

Bios menu

Most Compaq units use the F10 key to enter the BIOS shut off your notebook if it is in hibernation though you may have to shut it down fully by pressing on the stand by power button and pulling at the power notch they should be located at both sides near the hinges of the screen if this does not work remove batteries this will surely bring your notebook to shut down. replace batteries then press power then press the F10 as soon as the Compaq logo comes out. Hope this works some Compaq models nee to be realy shut down before the F10 could be accessed
