Error message: USB charging current is not sufficient. Verify that your handheld is connected to a powered USB charging source and that the proper USB driver is installed.

Question: Should I do something with the Blackberry maybe in options?

My phone was doing the same thing. I woke up in the morning to see that is wasn't charging from any outlet or my USB.

I instead concentrated on the USB opening on my phone, and realized that one of the pins was so ever slightly moved up. I took a safetly pin and gently kept bending it back down. Now it charges. Good luck and hope that helps! Just something different from the warranty/flashthrow away solution.

My 8310 done the exact same thing, i sent it off back for repair and when it came back a letter said that the solution for it was to install the operating system again, due to a software error.

Try backing up all of your essential data (phone numbers, photos, messages) taking the memory card and sim card out and plugging it into a PC and using desktop manager to Re install a new operating system (you can download software off of blackberrys official site)

Alternativly if its still within warranty and you cant do it, or you can do without it for a week or two, then send it back to your Network Providor. They have to repair it By law if its within the Guarantee.

Hope this helps

I changed my cord for charging, and all was okay. It may be a pin contact on your cable is causing a surge, or cross wiring leading to surge.

My blackberry curve 9300 wont turn on i left it on charge over night and their is still no sign of it turning on ive removed the battery serveral times and not once have i seen the red light, befor it...

Try this.

Plug your BB into the charger.

With it plugged in take the battery out.

Wait a minimum of two minutes then put the battery back in.

Let it charge for a minimum of an hour before touching any keys or the trackpad.

If it still won't charge consider replacing your battery.

My blackberry phone wont power up or charge

It probably wont power up because it wont charge. the USB port may be bad preventing it from charging. I assume you have tried both the wall charger and the computer connection and have not had any luck with either one. Its probably the USB port has stopped working. common problem if the USB cable had been yanked or severely stressed while plugged in to the phone

Sounds like the battery has failed. Replace it on Ebay for a new cheaper battery than at AT&T.

My BB 8320 will not power up

try turning it on with the battery removed while it is connected to the charger.
if it turns on fine then, it's a battery issue. if it still doesn't come on, i would recommend reinstalling the device software with the desktop manager software. both are available on blackberry.com

My Blackberry Curve 8310 will not power up.....

That usually is a sign of a dry cell in the battery.  You might be able to boot by plugging in the wall charger to it with the bad battery.

New blackberry curve 8310 will not stay powered on battery fully charged the phone powers on but after no specific time interval the led in the upper right coner will tern red and the phone will power...

This can be caused by a number of things. 1st you need to check the battery terminal connections that connect your battery to the main board. They need to be bend forward to make sure they have firm contact with the board. (you need to open the phone for this)
2nd look inside the USb port where you plug in your charger. Does any of the Copper pins appear out of place (there are 5). Is any of them missing or bent back?

Power surge on hub port

I am having to send my wife's curve out for repair today as it seems that the very fine connections made to the circuit board from the power port have come away. This port seems to be very fragile, and poorly designed IMHO given that it has to be used so frequently.
