If problem does not fix by flash focus/ convergence adjustment in Menu then replace convergence output ICs on D board of tv that sounds defective and causing problem. Comvergence output ICs replacement requires soldering work with proper tools and electronics knowledge/ experience, call local tech if you have no experience.
Im having problems with my 62mx195. The I have a good picture but i have shadows next to or on certain objects. It occurs over the whole screen at different scenes of show. There are blue shadows that pop up intermittently. I have tried hooking up different DVD players to the TV to see if there is a difference, but nothing. It seems minor but it annoying as hell. I hope it is not an Light Engine.
Symptoms shows TV has problem of faliure of convergence out ICs. (2 ICs in TV) and need to be replaced.Let me know do you want to repair it at your own? ... ... if yes, it is necessary to have experience of TV repair and basic electronics knowledge.
You have 2 distinct problems that should be addressed separately. Please repost the Samsung problem. I will address the Sony problem here.
If the "shadow" makes the picture seem somewhat of a 3D one, the problem is with the convergence circuit. This could be as simple as bad connections on the pins of the convergence ICs or defective ICs. If you can solder and would like to attempt the repair, update this and I'll provide more details and instructions.
HMMMM Dual pictures This is a problem that every projection TV runs into at least once or twice in its lifetime. Its the old convergence IC falure thingy. These IC's go bad and should be replace all at once. These are not consumer replaceable unless you have had training in the electronics or TV repair fields. Please call out a pro to assist you with this repair as A TV is not the place to experiment in because of the HI voltage and saftey issues. Good Luck
