I have lost the instructions on how to charge the start-it. The label says how to use it but not how to charge it. I plugged it into the house electrical outlet with the switch turned to on--no charging took place in several hours. I also tried charging it with the switch turned to off--no charging.

Did you figure out the fix? I have the same problem with a VECO12B. I can't figure out if I am doing it right or if it won't hold a charge anymore... If anyone knows the answer my email is...

    Thanks,

I have the same problem. Found the web site for the manufacturer, Century Tool & Equipment. They charge $8 for a pdf download of the instruction manual. Pretty outrageous. I'll just keep looking for the instructions, but will never buy anything made by them again if I find an option.

SOURCE: How do you get the Jump'n Charge recharged?

It should take a charge from any outlet, if not it's not working properly:
Built in Automatic 110/120 volt AC adapter

Digital display shows charge rate, operating mode, fault codes and FUL when charged

Is there anything that can be done to fix the front outlets? They don't work. Back ones do.

The outlets that are used for Battery Back Up need a power cell that is recharged and ready to take over when a power situation requires action. If the battery no longer charges it must be replaced as the outlets will not have any power connection.

Can a Duralast jump starter kit start a car while plugged into an outlet?

The charger to a Jumpstart charges at a low rate (300mA to 500mA) and will not push enough current to start a car. Best to have Jumpstarts recharged every 6 months to be ready for emergency.

How long do i have to charge the stanley j309 300 amp battery booster

Before the first use, the unit must be charged for 24 hours with a connection to an AC outlet (120V). Make sure that all of the switches are off. After that, stop charging when two red and one green LED Battery Status Indicators light.

If you are recharging the unit from a 12V battery, do not charge for more than 6 hours. (Check for a full charge by disconnecting the DC charging adapter and then press the Battery Power Level button.)

The manual for the Stanley J309 battery jump starter is available on the product page here: http://www.baccusglobal.com/stanley/j309.php . The direct link to the manual is http://www.baccusglobal.com/stanley/manuals/JUMPERS/J309%20MANUAL.pdf .

I hope this helps.

My vector jump start system will no longer take a charge, is there a replacement battery for this system?

yes there is but its very pricy,,,you may find its cheaper to buy a new jump start pack,,
as its broken you wont loos anything if you took the battery out and hooked it up to a small battery charger say 2amps and recharged it that way,,,,
at a C10 rate! ==20ah battery --2ah hour charge ==10hours to fully recharge the battery
i hope this helps you out,,,,

It won't charge when I hook it up to do so, it used to but lately no matter what computer I use, it doesn't do anything

not sure but doesn't that model have non rechargable batteries in the back that need to be replaced? If they are rechargeable wouldn't you need the ac outlet to charge them?

Connecting mp3 player to old computer without recharging outlet

To my knowledge, the only way to charge an mp3 on a computer is with a USB drive, so if the computer is so old it doesn't have USB ports, then you may want to look into buying a new computer or asking a friend to borrow theirs.

How do I charge battery

Simply hook the battery up to the player, plug in the adapter (house AC outlet, car adapter will not recharge batter), and turn the unit off.

The charging light should come on and when it goes out it's fully charged.
