MSAC-M2 Memory Duo Adapter not recognized by Laptop

Hope I have not posted this three times. Very technically challenged! Anyway, I went to the Sony website to try to download the drivers for this device as was suggested to me in response to my previous post, but the site says that there are no downloads available for this product. Any other suggestions? When I go to my computer, it shows the "E" drive when I insert the device, but then it says "insert disc." Thanks!

Yes, the Memory Stick Duo works in our camera, just not in the PC. The laptop is a Toshiba Satellie. Not sure of the model number or how to find that out. Thanks!!!!!

This is an adapter so that you can use a Memory Stick Duo in a SD slot. It is a hardware adapter, it does not need a driver. Have you tried the Memory Stick Duo (not the adapter) in another device to make sure that it works.

USB is USB is USB as they say. Universal Serial Bus so should work in anything compatible. I know from experience sometimes my Toshiba Laptop wouldn't read some USB drives but inserting them in a different USB socket and they would usually work.

My sony USb isn't recognized by my laptop.what should i do?

click the start menu, click settings, go to control pannel, click the system icon, go to the hardware pannel, then the device manager, right click the universal serial bus controller and click on the option 'scan for hardware changes'.
if still the usb does not appear, plug in the port, another working usb. If it works, there is a problem with your usb and if it dosen't work, there is a problem with the usb ports...

You shouldn't need the adapter with the computers. Try taking the duo out and plug it into the computer.

Hi, Just changed the broken power jack on my Sony Vaio PCG-K115B laptop, now when i press the power key i get green and yellow lights on together for about two seconds and the fans spin for the same...

I have done a bunch of these and this sounds more like a memory issue than anything else, so try only one stick of memory at a time.

If that does not work.... did you remove the CPU from the motherboard? If so check it and make sure it is seated properly and locked into place. Also you say the fan is running, make sure it is down tight to the CPU and has thermal coumpound on it.

Hope this helps
