There is a tension adjustment screw. Look at section C of this sample manual for McCulloch. It's not the same model, but it should be close enough. =>

How do I replace cutting blade I have blade but can't get chain open

This is a dangerous job, so be careful, the chain is very sharp.

There's an adjusting screw near the inside end of the saw chain. Loosen the screw until the chain can be easily removed.
Re-install the new chain and tighten the screws until the chain is snug but not too tight. You should be able to pull the chain upward about 1/4 in. max.

H0w do I repair my McCullock 35cc Chain saw

The gas filter is going to be dangling inside the fuel tank on the end of the fuel pick-up line. Hook it with a short piece of wire and slip it to the edge of the fuel opening. Be careful as you can easily destroy the actual fuel line in the process. It will NOT stretch as far as you would like for access to the filter. The filter is connected to the fuel line with a plastic barb fitting that inserts inside the line. Remove and reinstall the new replacement.

The chain and bar are removed by first loosening the nuts on the side of the case. Next, look between the two nuts for a screwdriver adjustment....if not there, look from the front of the saw down alongside the inside of the guide bar and up against the case should be a screwdriver slot. Turn it COUNTER clockwise to loosen the chain to a drooping loop. Remove the two bar nuts and side case and the bar and chain will easily slip off.

What is the proper fuel mix for a mcculloch ms1635 chain saw?

between 32:1 and 40:1 - Manufacturer recommends 40:1 Ratio - EXAMPLE: "Mix 3.2 ounces of Poulan 2-cycle air cooled engine oil to one gallon of fresh unleaded gasoline to obtain the recommended 40:1 fuel to oil ratio."

Does not idle

A link to a MCC 1635 OM follows:
http://ipl.ordertree.com/ipl/845/MCC1435A(311023).pdf
From page 11
IMPORTANT IDLING INFORMATION
In some cases due to operating conditions (altitude, temperature
etc.) your chain saw may need a slight adjustment
to the idle speed.
After warm up - See the User's Manual section 5-2, step 7
- If unit does not Idle after restarting 2 times, follow these
steps to adjust idle.
1. Idle adjustment access (G). (Figure 5-2H)
2. Using a Phillips or slotted screwdriver - turn screw 1/4
to 1/2 turn clockwise (to the right). Unit should then
idle properly. (Figure 5-2H)
NOTE: If chain turns while idling - turn screw back to the
left until chain stops and unit continues to idle.

Anything beyond this the OM recommends to a authorized dealer. Not bad advice, I suggest a local Stihl dealer.

Changing chains.............chain brake on or off

Off, else you cannot easily remove the clutch cover; and you cannot reinstall it if tripped. Wear gloves ensure you can rotate the chain before removal.

A more common model number is MS1838AV. Your IPL follows:
Chainsaws 32cc-35cc-38cc Anti-Vibe

Operators Manuals: are much more difficult. I have dialed this number many times (Contact Us - All McCulloch Products 1 (800) 521-8559) and have yet to get a satisfactory response. Please try this! If enough of us try they will fix it! If unsuccessful with McCulloch try here:
Beg for manuals thread (ArboristSite - free to join). Please use the search function first, it has probably been asked and answered (I did not get any hits).
