An air conditioner of this type always has standing water sitting in the base-tray of the machine as it's running. They're designed to work that way. However, if the unit leans slightly in toward the inside of your house, then the water in the tray can be deeper than it should and/or add extra humidity to the inside air. These units are designed to be installed so that they lean slightly to the _outside_ of the window or wall-hole where they are mounted. This way the standing water drains off to the ground outside and isn't so deep that it gets hit by the fan. Check the mounting of this unit to make sure it leans slightly toward the outside. Also verify that any notch or drain hole on the outside end of the unit, intended to guide draining water, is not clogged with debris (which could also cause the standing water in the unit to be at too high a level). Doing these things will make sure that the water in the base-tray of the unit won't get caught up in the fan and sprayed everywhere. And, in case you need it, the Users Manual is available for download at this URL: --> Hope this helps! ;)

Where do I put water in this air conditioning portable unit

Usually air conditioning units don't need water. In fact it most likely "produce" water as it takes off humidity from ambient air.

but to be sure, you can find the user manual online with model number maybe?

most home air conditioners go as low as 18 c but this low setting achieves nothing but a high power bill
the purpose of air conditioning ( air conditioning -- to condition the air) is to remove the humidity ( water vapour ) form the air and allow the body to perspire more freely and so is by the evaporation of the perspiration of the body water that cools the body
this evaporation is hastened by the fact that the water vapour in the air is very low due to the air conditioner operation of conditioning the air
Now knowing this fact it is obvious that all the windows and door should be kept closed ( to remove the humidity from the room /house and so a setting of 25-26 c is sufficient to keep you cool
because the temperature difference between outside air and room air is low the air conditioner cycles less frequently and costs less to run
if the room setting is at minimum and the atmospheric temp is high then the air conditioner is running virtually all the time
so instead of asking what is the minimum temp you should be asking what is the optimum temp run to be conformable and to save on power costs

Does this air conditioner need water

Air conditioners don't need water. if it is runnibng properly and blowing cold air it will produce water on the condensing coil. Look at the coil. If you see a lot of ice, turn the unit off and wait until the ice melts. If the ice returns it is probably low on freon. This must be taken care of by a licensed air conditioning tecnician.

Air conditioner not cooling

This is a tell tale sign that your condenser coil on the rear of your upper unit is dirty. You need to get up on the roof and remove the shroud from the unit. Gently spray into the condenser with a water hose until the water that is coming out is clean. This is a good procedure to do once or twice a year to help the efficiency of your unit.

Hope this helps.

Daikin air conditioner leakin water at a fast rate

You should have access to the condensate drain from the outside. You can use compressed air to unclog the unit. If you can, try accessing the drain from the source outward but be careful, you can blow debris everywhere. Make sure you have something to catch it so it doesn't spray everywhere. If you don't have access to compressed air, you can use a small plumbing snake to work you way up the pipe. Hope this answers your question.
